This is my shrine to the coolest (in my opinion) male character in the Slayers series: ZELGADIS!!! Zel shows up in the first season of Slayers in episode#2, and continues to be a main character throughout the TV series. He was transformed into a chimera (1/3 demon, 1/3 golem, 1/3 human) by Rezo, the Red Priest, who is also Zel's grandpa and/or great-grandpa. He's a very quiet character, rarely speaking, concealing his face in public, and generally wary of suspicious characters (namely Xellos). He is on a quest to find a way to become human again.
Because of his chimeric body, Zel is not only a powerful magic user (mostly Shamanism and other general spells) but also a skilled swordsman who is impervious to most physical and some magical attacks. He can't, however, stand up to something as powerful as, say, a cannonball.^_^
Zel is on a friendly(?) basis with Lina and Gourry, though they seem to annoy him constantly, and he's a bit nervous around Amelia (for good reason, I might add). He HATES Xellos, plain and simple as that, and doesn't really trust his information (although he HAS followed his tips occasionally, but won't admit it).
