Quotes 3...

" In the beginning of all things... wisdom and knowledge were with the animals... for Tirawa, the One Above, did not speak directly to man. He sent certain animals to tell men that he showed himself through the beast, and that from them, and from the stars and the sun and moon should man learn.. all things tell of Tirawa. All things in the world are two. In our mind we are two ... good and evil. With our eyes we see two things... things that are fair and things that are ugly ... We have the right hand that strikes and makes for evil, and the left hand full of kindness, near the heart. One foot may lead us to an evil way... the other foot may lead us to a good. So are all things two... all are two." Letakots-Lesa

"...For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence." Proverbs 4:17

"All of this Creation is Sacred...And so do not forget. Every Dawn as it comes is a holy event and every day is holy, for the light comes from Wakan-Tanka...you must remember that the Two-leggeds and All other peoples who stand upon this Earth are Sacred and should be treated as such..." White Buffalo Woman

"How smooth must be the language of the whites, when they can make right look like wrong, and wrong like right." BlackHawk

  Peace Comment...

"On the one hand you talk about christian values...on the other hand you say...'Isn't force the only deterrent they respect?' This has been our trouble down through the ages... We have given only lip service to christian values... and lived by the jungle law of tooth and claw. We have quoted 'Be not overcome of evil...overcome evil with good' and then attempted to overcome evil with more evil...thereby multiplying the evil. We worship God...but have no faith in the working of God's laws of love...." Peace Pilgrim said this while talking with a person who believed in war AND christian values.

I always thought how wonderful it was of her to just cut to the chase and lay all the cards out on the table. Lip service is just that. How much harder it is to really walk the talk.
