While looking forward to Christmas break, I knew I was going to be extremely bored. This was my solution, Operation: I-hate-my-system-but-since-I'm-bored-over-Christmas-break- I'm-going-to-work-to-make-it-sound-better. Since I'm a poor college student, I'm doing things as cheap as possible. One of my main goals was to eliminate the road noise that my S-10 has (those of you with S-10s know what I'm talking about). I bought about 200 square feet of Weatherguard and went to work.

My next goal was to rebuild the stock speaker locations in the doors to give better response. This should be an interesting time since I have no fiberglass. I get to rely on my wood skills to do this.

My last goal was to ditch my original sub setup. I built this box back when I was a junior and high school when I was in my bass farting days. Now that those days are over, I'm looking for something the sounds a LOT better. I'm going to be buying an IDmax this spring so I just decided to build a few boxes with what I had to see what I could get out of my RF Power DVC's. Recommended enclosure volume is 2.5 ft^3. I'm going to build a downfiring box at 2.0 to see if I can tighten things up a bit. Then, if I like how that sounds, I'm going to build another box half the size, and mount them isobaric style. Why isobaric you may ask? I don't know. I'd like to get my puny little back seat back again, and I've never used one so I'd just like to experiment. It doesn't bother me that I'm wasting sub output because they subs are already overpowering my coaxs.

There you have it. My plans for this break. Enjoy, I'll keep things updated.
