Dateline: November 20, 2006. In celebration of Mark Lane's 25th Music Anniversary (1981-2006) Editions Mark Lane is proud to set forth three new releases. The first is a limited edition (500 copies) 4-song CDEP in a full color card stock mini-jacket entitled "Inner Most Folds" and is out now! Confirming a minimal electronic music sensibility that has reached across two and half decades the EP draws upon diverse sources that range from erudite to industrial musics. Mr. Lane's patented vocals work their way through two fantastic synthpop efforts and are counter balanced by two unusual instrumentals. The second, a limited edition (300 copies) 7" vinyl 45rpm entitled "Elephant" is also out now! Arriving as a visual reflection of its CD twin, musically it is the first Mark Lane single to contain two instrumentals. The version of"Elephant" that appears here is a different "minimal mix" than the CD version. The flipside "Atomium," a dark and brooding effort, is a non CD track. The third release, a 2XCD 24-song Digipak package entitled "The Anti-Tech Testament 1981-1985" available now as well. Long time followers will want to own this package as an addendum to their collections, as it contains many extremely rare and previously unavailable on CD tracks. The new follower will find this release as the "essential beginners listening guide to Mark Lane" as it contains his best known as well as his most obscure work during that time period. For either case the historic value of such a long over due collection will be welcome and mark the passing into the next 25 minimal years.
