Sometimes we find a special friend,
who always knows what to do or say.
They know what we need, and when,
to help us to make it through the day.
They can see into our heart and soul,
and know when we're in need of a lift.
We don't even have to say anything,
they just know, as they have that gift.
They are so quick to be by our side,
when they know something is wrong.
And are glad to be our rock to lean on,
when they can feel we are not strong.
Holding our heart gently in their hand,
they soothe it with their loving touch.
This special friend gives all they can;
there's nothing they feel is too much.
A special friend; one of life's treasures;
when you do find one, you are blessed.
So many people will come into your life,
but a special friend, is one of the best.
