Graphics (8)-The graphics are very reminiscent of last years Mario Party, but yet offer a unique feel to them. The boards are now animated with subtle details such as a horse swinging its head back and forth. Some of the games, such as “Roll Call” feature pre-rendered backgrounds that are quite vibrant and very much appealing to the eye.
Sound (7.5)-Songs are typical of a Mario Game. The music seems to fit the different courses and mini-games well and are generally, less annoying the it’s predecessor. Unfortunately, the characters sayings are identical to last years game. It would have been nice to hear a few more sayings.
Play Control (9.5)-All the mini-games are easy to control and usually only make use of two or three buttons, but yet they allow you to perform many actions. The rotating control stick games have been removed, allowing us to spare our palms.
Fun Factor (10)-Just like last years party, this game is at its best when you have 4-players playing. The matches can get very intense and you can really piss off your friends. However, if you’re playing by yourself, it tends to get old real fast.
Replay Value (9)-If you liked Mario Party, you should love Mario Party 2. The mini-games are overall, better then last years, even though there are still a few stinkers. Purchase this game if you and your friends have a lot of get-togethers.
Overall 9/10
