Electronic Arts performs an amazing feat with Beetle Adventure Racing. They managed to pull together excellent graphics, top notch sound and controls into a completely original racing game sure to be a favorite to many. Beetle Adventure Racing has various modes and options including an incredibly fun multiplayer mode. The game also uses a unique point finding system in which the player drives around in each course searching for point boxes which will then allow the player to access secret multiplayer arenas.

Graphics (9.5)-This game has some of the most amazing graphics not only for a racing game, but perhaps for the entire console. Rarely is there any pop-up and the reflections on the cars are just breathtaking.

Sound (8)-The sounds are also very good in this game from the humming of the cars engine down to the roars of a T-Rex (yes, a T-Rex). The music is calm and soothing for the most part and the announcer is also pretty good, not annoying like Wave Race's.

Play Control (9)-Controls are basic in this game. "A" is go, while "B" is break, etc. The real challenge is learning how to perform powerslides around corners, but once you get the hang of it it'll soon become second nature.

Fun Factor (10)-This is the highlight of this game. It's fun just to drive around the levels blindly with no point looking at the wonderful scenery. The multi-player is excellent allowing up to 4 players to go at it in a race for lady bugs. All the while you'll have the ability to fire rockets and whatnot at your opponents.

Replay Value (9.5)-This game has some of the best replay value for any racing game ever. To begin with, each level features special point boxes, when enough of these point boxes are collected a new multiplayer arena becomes available. Also, in each level there are three cleverly hidden cheat boxes, that when discovered, opens up a cheat on the cheat menu allowing for even more customization.
