Banjo-Kazooie

The evil witch, Gruntilda, peers into her magic pot, and sees Banjo’s little sister, Tooty. When she realizes that she is better looking, Gruntilda sets out to kidnap her, and her beauty. Banjo is sleeping, so he doesn’t notice the commotion. His faithful friend, Kazooie, alerts him of the immediate danger, and sets off immediately, making his way through 9 humongous worlds, looking for Jiggies, Jinjos, and notes.

Graphics (10)-With an official award for best graphics of any game in 1998 backing this up, the game looks wonderful, with rarely any slowdown. An example of this wonderful creation is that they use separate polygons for everyone’s eyelids.

Sound (9.5)-The music in this game is some of the best the N64 has to offer. They can be addicting to listen to, and not only fit the scenery, they also set the mood. It’s no wonder why they made a soundtrack.

Play Control (9.5)-The game makes it incredibly easy to do moves, and has a whole section that teaches you how. The moves are not hard to execute, either and will soon become second nature.

Fun Factor (9.5)-Above all, this game is easily worth a purchase. It is extremely fun to run through this game, and listen to all the humor (some of it is kind of sick), and humorous events throughout the game.

Replay Value (7)-Fun as this game is, it really is long. The best of the best took six hours to run through this game once (André and Schuyler as a team). And it was not easy. Some of the levels are rather tough.

Overall 9/10
