The cameras fader in on a scene unlike any other ever seen
in the history of the Elite Wrestling Alliance. Early estimates
have the fans packed into the portable stands at 600,000 people
with more taking advantage of the window vantage points and rooftop
seats, all being sold by the EWA for premium deniro. The
ring is set up, Mike and Dean have their gear in position, and the EWA
is ready to kick off the show that should change the company forever:
CENTRAL CARNAGE
Mike: "We've got a HUGE show on tap for tonight. We'll be seeing
the end of an era as Venom brings his EWA career to an end. We'll
also see the latest in the legendary Mime/Chris Van Horton feud in
the match Outlaw has wanted forever: A no interference match."
Dean: "We've also got a strong undercard, featuring a tag team battle
royal to determine the number one contenders for the belts Yin and Yang
will be defending tonight as well."
Mike: And while we may not know who'll be facing Venom in his historic last match,
we DO know that El Linchador will get a shot at the Extreme Title and Chaos
will defend his Intercontinental Title against Lupin, a man he's had
several run-ins with in the past."
Dean: "I can feel the excitement building in the air! So much
will be decided tonight, but we've still got that big question of Venom's opponent
to answer."
Mike: "All in due time, Dean/ Let's get to the ring for our first match of the night."
Dean: "The EWA's tag teams take center stage in this five te-"
Mike: "Not so fast, Dean. I've received late word that Outkast
was unable to make it to Central Park for tonight's festivities. That cutsa
down the number of tonights men inthe ring to eight."
Dean: "I suspected men would drop quickly, but not that quickly!"
Mike: "Well, no teams will be eliminated while we're gabbing, so let's
get to the ring and see who'll earn the right to a title shot on Eruption."
El Toreros vs. Seventeen vs. New Wave vs. Los Gringos Locos: Over-the-Top elimination style
The EWA sound system blasts "I Want Candy," and out walks Candy, with
microphone in hand. She brazenly introduces: "Ladies and Gentlemen,
you're next Tag Team Champions: Seventeen!" "Smells Like Teen Spirit" plays
next and out run 17 cheerleaders, all dancing. Seventeen make their way to the ring
to await the other teams. Los Gringos Locos, Jason Heel and Christian Mane are the next men out
and the referees make sure they and Seventeen don't get an early start.
The next team out is El Toreros. Pena and Linchy walk to the ring, staying close
to each other...maybe this is an indication of their overall plan to
survive this match. As Will Smith's "Miami" plays, Joey and Chris of the New Wave
drive their way to ringside in the "Viva Miami!" van! All four teams
are ushered into seperate corners and explained that if one man is
eliminated, the team is toast. With the rules explained, the bell is rung,
the referees dive out of the way, and the teams get down to business!
El Toreros focus immediatly on Gringos, as do the New Wave members. All
six men start brawling, and Seventeen is quick to join in, making it just a
huge scrum in the middle of the ring. The New Wave back out, Chris first, followed by Johnny.
Seventeen and El Toreros gang up on Los Gringos Locos, but Mane and Heel fight back.
Mane alternates chest chops between Seventeen while Heel delivers a stunning
double snap suplex to Pena and Linchy. El Toreros decide against continuing the onslaught,
and look towards the New Wavers. The Spanish wonders lock up with Joey and Chris, respectivly.
As the four of them beat on each other, Los Gringos have had their way with Seventeen. Jef of 17
is on the receiving end of a brainbuster, and Johnny finds himself backed into a corner, absorbing
forearm after forearm. With Seventeen reeling, the Gringos turn to the other
side of the ring, where El Toreros have used a "hit and run" type strategy to put
the NEw Wave up against the wall, using low impact moves like punches, quick dropkicks,
and hurrincarannas. Without warning, the Gringos each charge a member of El Toreros!
Mane tries to clothesline Pena, but he ducks. Linchy, however, is hit with a clothesline
by Jason Heel and both men go over the top! Heel hits the ground, but Linchy is somehow suspended above the floor!
Pena is sitting down on the mat on the opposite side of the ring-there's a very well constructed belt between the two, covered up by their
t-shirts! Los Gringos Locos have been eliminated, but Linchy and Pena are still alive thanks to some clever thinking.
We're down to three teams, and Seventeen are both trying like hell to get Linchy to fall off the ring apron, where he's climbed back to.
Pena comes from behind, hitting each man and drawing some of the fire away from his partner, but
earning the ire of Seventeen. As they team up on Pena, Linchy comes back in the ring to back up his partner.
The New Wave, however, is content to sit back and watch these two go at it.
Seventeen has managed to beat down Pena and remove his end of the bungee belt. Linchy runs in to the fray, bulldoging
Jeffery to the mat. HE stays down on his hands and knees as Linchy turns to deal with Johnny. Before those two can lock up, Johnny runs at
Jeffery, vaulting off of him and dropkicking Pena to the outside! El Toreros have been eliminated! We're down to the New Wave vs. Seventeen, and the
New Wave has been waiting for this moment. These two continue the trend of the night, just
punching the stuffing out of each other. Seventeen gets the upperhand, and they get ready to deliver a Pep Rally Plunge to Joey Corona-Chris Cutlass
gets up and pulls him out of the move! They deliver the Wavelength-a simultaneous "Stroke" to each man! The NEw Wave is obviouosly the better rested team,
and it's starting to pay off. Coronna sets up for a Sunburst Driver on Jeffery, but JEffery flips out of it! Chris Cutlass, though, is right there and he hits
Jeff with his Bayonet (Impaler)! Melanie, the lovely woman with the NEw Wave, goes to the "Viva Miami" and tosses something into joey Corona. He hits Jeffery James with it, knocking him out!
Corona tosses the empty milk bottle from the INdy 500 back out to Melanie and turns around to see his partner Chris, in danger of being hit by Johnny Elite's
superkick finisher-it's too late for Corona to help! Wait, Chris Cutlass ducks the kick from Elite and nails him right in the crotch! Cutlass whips him over to Corona
who picks up Elite in a sidewalk slam! Joey runs over and springs up to the middle rope, then jumps off and hits his flying DDT on Johnny
to hit the Miami Tsunami! The Wave tosses out the KO’d Elite to win the #1 contendership!
Winners and Number one Tag Team Contenders: The New Wave
Mike: "We just got a glimpse of greatness. Those four teams, along with Yin and Yang and the Annihilators, are
the best of the best in the world of tag team wrestling."
Dean: "Yeah, but the New Wave showed that they're ready for prime-time, so to speak."
Mike: "They'll get a shot at the tag team champions at our next Eruption."
Dean: "Also up for grabs at our next Eruption will be the EWA Extreme Title. Who's defending it
will be determined right now."
Dean: "I couldn't have said it better myself, Mike. Let's go to the triple-cage theatre for what could be an EWA classic.
