This sculpture is a fine example of the artist’s exploration of negative & positive space.

 

Using both, the artist worked to create the Calligraphic word, “Wal Asr” both in word & visually.

The piece appears to float inches off the ground, while at the same time giving a sense of immense mass, like a mountain.
