At which time I changed my name from Sheryl David to Anisah Sheryl David so as to affiliate myself more closely with my chosen faith.
I have lived in a number of states around the
nation & traveled to many others for varying periods of time. This has given me a broader understanding of what "is" an American, sometimes unobserved by those cloistered in their own corner of the U.S.
I am an avid writer. I am also the webmaster of a multitude of homepages, e-groups & forums. Much of my work is focused on social issues and community activities.
However, I has written several newspaper articles as well, on a variety of general topics.
A resident of South Dakota, and prolific writer, I work from my home in Bushnell. I live in Bushnell with my life-partner, best friend Eric Wenger, who is himself an artist. Bushnell has several artists in town, which gives it a unique flare.
What it lacks in population, it makes up for in creativity. As a haven to artists and others of the creative sort, Bushnell is only 8 miles from the nearby university town of Brookings.
Eric & I live in an old 1840's hotel which
previously had been a stage coach stop for travelers
crossing the South Dakota prairie through Fountain, SD. The building was later moved to main street in Bushnell, when the railroad came through, where it was added-on to & turned into a hotel. Now it is our home & art studio.
