The objective if the Air Training Corps is to promote and develop the spirit of adventure, flight, leadership, and training for civilian and service life At the ATC we do a number of activities and sports that many people could not do, like flying, gliding and shooting. We also encourage the Duke of Edinburghs award scheme, and all sporting activities (some may even win a wing or region blue). During your enrolement you would learn about, airmanship, navigation, communication,and flight principles. After each you would have an exam and the chance to earn a classification, from 1st class to Staff. You also get the chance to prove your leadership, drill and overall worth to get promoted (see ranks page).
