Boom, boom, boom...

Never know how much I love you,
Never know how much I care.
When you put your arms around me,
I get a fever that's so hard to bear.

Tendrils of steam curled up and over the glass
panelling of the shower door as they stood in the
bathroom waiting for the water to heat up.

Okay...so this was weird. Janet watched Daniel's
chocolate-streaked form as he bent over the stall as
he adjusted the water temperature.

She crossed her arms over her breasts self-consciously
and glanced at the image that the pair of them made in
the slowly-clouding mirror.

Intriguing. Strange. Domestic, and yet somehow it
looked right. Even after the heat of their passion on
the kitchen floor nothing seemed to have changed.
Streaks of hardened chocolate smudged their way like
tiger's stripes over her shoulders and down across her

Dark chunks of the stuff had become matted into
Daniel's blonde hair, smears of cocoa powder made
their way across his ass from where she had taken a
firm hold with her fingers.

Janet turned her eyes away from the mirror and back to
him. Studying the contours of his body with her eyes.
Seeing him in a completely different light.

Before, she thought, as she travelled a path down from
the nape of his neck, he was my patient. Her eyes ran
over the streaks of chocolate on his back where she'd
clung to him as she came. Before, he was just a
friend. Her eyes kept on trailing down his naked
body, surrealistically painted in chocolate-brown and
white. But now...she pondered, he is a whole lot

Finally satisfied with the water's temperature, Daniel
turned to face his new lover, suddenly self-conscious
of their nakedness in the aftermath of it all. He
reached out a tentative hand and placed it on her

"Hey Janet," He asked, "Are you okay with this?"

She looked up into his eyes, searching out his soul in
the misty warm haze. Did she want this? Did he want
this? Now was the time to stay or go.

His eyes reflected in hers the fear of rejection and
burning desire for the other. She had her answer
right in front of her. She brought up her hand and
held it in his, stepping forwards toward the shower

You give me fever,
When you kiss me,
Fever when you hold me tight.
Fever! In the morning,
Fever all through the night.

The heat of the water warmed their bodies like a fever
as they stood together underneath the spray. They
just stood there, staring at each other, doing
nothing. Just staring...absorbing the heat.

Slowly, carefully, Janet reached out with her hand and
placed it over Daniel's chest. The water rushed over
it like thousands of tiny waterfalls. Defiant of the
new obstacle that was now blocking their way. He
stepped closer to her, reaching through the steam to
place his hands on her waist.

This was different, new. It was much
more...captivating than their lustful joining in his
kitchen. They were discovering each other again.
This time, they would discover the other in more
detail, every moment would be an expression of their
newfound love.

Their bodies drew closer, as if motivated by magnets.
Daniel leaned his head downwards to capture her lips
in a slow and lingering kiss. They closed their eyes
together. Shielding themselves from the thunder of
the water, and sealing the fever that their bodies
created deep inside.

Eventually they pulled apart, opening their eyelids
with a fluttering sigh. Janet felt the blush in her
cheeks rise as he stared at her with his intensive

My god, how he loved his woman. After Sha'uri, he'd
never thought it possible for him to open his heart
again. But Janet, she was special. With her caring
warmth and healing hands she had mended his wounds.
She'd made it her calling to save the lives of others.
To protect and to preserve. She'd taken his heart
and looked deep into his soul, and she was not afraid.
He loved her, and that was for sure.

Janet watched him with a quizzical grin as he slowly
caressed her with his hands. "A penny for your
thoughts?" She questioned, languishing in the flow of
the warm, soothing water as it chorused down her back.

"I'm just thinking." Daniel answered, reassuring her
with a smile. He reached behind her to retrieve the
liquid soap and the wash-cloth. "How about we start
to get clean?"

Janet smiled and kissed his chin, "I thought you'd
never ask."

Sun lights up the daytime
And moon lights up the night..
I light up when you call my name
And you know I'm gonna treat you right

The bubbles of soap followed eagerly after the
washcloth as Daniel ran it over the curves of Janet's
chocolate-covered body. She wasn't perfect, but she
was still beautiful. A bullet wound formed a puckered
scar on the freckled skin of her right arm. He ran
the cloth over it lovingly, kneading the muscle until
it ran smooth and supple under his hand.

He then moved the washcloth to her shoulders, motioning
for her to turn around as he rubbed away the knotted
tension within. Daniel moved the washcloth down across
her back and to the base of her legs, marvelling in
the way that the rivulets of water travelled across
her rounded curves.

He washed away the chocolate that streaked across her
shins, discovering new scars and battle wounds that he
had previously never noticed. He ran his fingertips
over a curved scar on her ankle, wondering how such
beauty could ever be marred.

"Seashell." Janet answered, in response to his
un-asked question. "I was playing on the beach with my
cousins as a girl, and I slipped and cut myself on a
seashell. You've never seen me scream so loud."

Daniel smiled, happy in his new discovery of this
remarkable woman. He stood up again to kiss her,
cupping her cheek in his hand and drawing her in to
the warmth of his embrace.

You give me fever...
When you kiss me,
Fever when you hold me tight.
Fever! In the morning,
Fever all through the night

Janet took the bottle of shampoo from the shelf behind
her and squeezed an amount of it into her hand before
reaching up and running her fingers through Daniel's
matted hair. He ran his hands over her breasts as she
washed him, both of them humming with the pleasure of
the sensation.

"Tell me about your childhood." Janet said, gently
easing the knots out of his short blonde hair.

He ran his hands across her stomach, over her buttocks
and up to her shoulders before moving them down again,
leaving a trail of fire in their wake. "Which part of
it?" He questioned, "The happy part or the sad?"

Janet moved back so that he could duck his head
underneath the water, letting the suds wash off in the
spray. "Both." She replied, "I want to know all
there is to know about you." She punctuated her words
with another kiss. "I want to know all about the man
that you are."

Daniel sighed, and bent his head to nibble a trail
across his lover's chin. "Ah, well, the happy bit..."
He paused, interrupted as she rewarded him with a
tiny kiss. "Was when I had my parents. My *real*
parents. I had a family. Something stable, something
secure. And then...then they died."

He hugged Janet closer to him as he smoothed his hands
up and down her back. "That was the sad part. I lost
them. My family. The two people that I loved and
trusted most in the world were suddenly gone. Ripped
from my life without warning...it was like...a great,
big, gaping hole."

"Did Sha'uri heal that?" She questioned, moving her
head from his bare chest to look up into his blue

"Yes." He affirmed, "And so have you."

Everybody's got the fever
That is something you all know
Fever isn't such a new thing
Fever started long ago

Romeo loved Juliet
Juliet she felt the same
When he put his arms around her he said,
"Julie, Baby , you're my flame

They stood under the water in each-other's arms until
it began to run cold. Daniel reached around her and
turned the water off, holding open the shower door as
she stepped out of the stall into the steam-fogged

He handed her a towel and then took one for himself.
He took one corner of the fluffy white material and
ran it across the lines of her face, removing the
droplets of water that were glistening there.

She watched him silently as he continued drying her
off, the heat from the sun-lamp keeping the goose bumps
from rising on her skin.

He wrapped the towel around her body and fastened it
over the valley between her breasts, removing his
fingers and replacing them with a kiss.

"Have I told you that I love you?" He asked, as he
straightened back up to look into here eyes. Her
heart skipped a beat, the fever bringing up a burning
warmth into her cheeks. She took his towel and began
drying him as he had for her. When she had finished
she took his hands in hers and held them to her heart.

"Yes Daniel." She replied. "In everything that you
do." She paused, "You know what Daniel?"

"I think...no...I *know*...that I love you too".

"Thou giveth fever
"When we kisseth
"Fever with our flaming youth
"Fever! I'm afire,
"Fever, yea, I burn, forsooth."

Together they entered the darkened sanctuary of his
bedroom. The moonlight shone in through the curtained
window, casting a silvery path of light across the

He rummaged through his dresser and found her one of
his shirts, which she accepted without words, slipping
the crisp material on over her shoulders and allowing
him to button it up over her clean, dry skin.

Daniel donned his boxer shorts and made his way over
to the bed, holding up the covers as Janet slipped in
before he got in beside her.

They spooned their bodies together, his larger,
masculine form sheltering an protecting her delicate
feminine form.

"For what, Daniel?"

"For loving me."

"Thank you too."

Now you've listened to my story,
Here's the point that I have made:
Chicks were born to give you fever,
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade

They give you fever
When you kiss them
Fever if you live and learn
Fever ! till you sizzle
what a lovely way to burn
what a lovely way to burn
what a lovely way to burn
what a lovely way to burn
