Priscilla's Page

Foremost, the title alone withstands a meaning of its own in two perspectives. . One is the crop signs that the protaganist Graham Hess finds in hid yard and the signs that are happening around the world . It is also about faith and the existence of signs from above. You can look at the title of 'Signs' as a sign to open your eyes. The character of Graham is shut down in the beginning of the film and he is not really able to deal with reality. His family is not doing so well. And so, part of the message of the film is to open your eyes to what is around you and you will see the answers.

The film introduces us to Father Graham Hess, a widower father of two who resents God for the death of his wife and has not practiced religion in over six months. His daughter, Bo , constantly leaves half-full cups of water around the house, insisting each cup has a certain blemish, while his asthmatic son, Morgan, resents his father for his loss of faith. Graham's younger brother, Merrill, lives with the family to provide some sort of support to his brother.
