PHASE IV(1974)***1/2Inteligent and scary film about a colony of ants who became super inteligent after the sun perfectly alines. The ants turn on a team of scientists who were studying them.

PITCH BLACK***A group of space travelers crash land on a planet in eternal sunshine until an eclipse comes. Once it becomes dark thousands of alien creatures come out of hiding to feed. Very scary Alien style picture.

THE PHANTOM MENACE(1999)***1/2First Star Wars film in 16 yearswas disapointing to many, but is quite enjoyable if you can overlook the often juvinile characters. Film deals mainly with the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo which is led by Queen Amidala played by Natalie Portman. Obi-Wan Kanobi played by Ewan McGregor and Qui Jon Gin played by Liam Nieson help Amidala form a pact with an underwater civilation to defend against the attack. First class production and actors make up for any missteps in the script.

PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE(1956)*Legendary bad film by Ed Wood about an attempt by aliens to raise the rescent dead to take over the Earth. Totally pathetic in every way, but some say it's good for laughs. I say it's just boring.

PLANET OF THE APES(1968)****One of the great genre film detailing Charlton Hestons landing on a planet run b intelligent apes. Film hits all the right moves with brilliant effects great dialogue and a sensational script from Rod Serling. A must see. Followed by four sequels, a live action and cartoon series, and a rescent remake.

PLANET OF THE APES(2001)***Somewhat disapointing Tim Burton remake of classic 68 film. Tremendous effects and makeup can't make of for an average story and script. Still a fun film if you can put the original out of your mind. Heston makes a fun cameo.

THE POSTMAN*1/2Kevin Costner's overlong post apocoliptic film about a mail carrier who tries to bring the country back together. It's just too much ado about nothing.

PREDATOR(1987)***Alien in the jungle perfectly describes this entertaining Swortzaneger flick. Arnold leads a group of commandos into the South American jungle on a rescue mission, and end up coming face-to-face with a alien killing machine. Possibly the greatest alien ripoff ever made.

PREDATOR 2(1990)**Ok sequel to Predator with LA cop Danny Glover taking on the title creature. A little too violent but entertains none the less.

PROJECT X(1968)**1/2Interesting film set in a future where the leaders try and get a secret formala out of one of there agents.

PROTOTYPE X29A(1992)Pointless b-movie set in a post apocalyptic era where humans and manchines are being joinded.

THE PUPPETMASTERS(1994)***Satisfying remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is given a few different twist. More entertaining than scary this time. Donald Sutherland stars.

Purgatory(1999)***1/2Surpising interesting and fresh fantasy western. A group of outlaws ride into a town called Purgatory where all the residents are dead western bad guys stuck between heaven and hell. They have ten years to stay peacfull or straight to hell with them. Well told tv movie.
