By far the best of the B5 tv movies, nice Sherden story has a epic feel

Back to the Future part II(1989)**Picks up where the original left off with Marty and Doc traveling into the future to save his family. Disapointing sequel has plenty of great effects and action, but lacks the heart of the original.
Back to the Future part III(1990)***1/2Magical final part of the Zemeckis trilogy finds Marty traveling back in time to the old west to save Doc who will be killed in a gunfight. Meanwhie Doc finds romance with Mary Steenburgen. Film really takes off with the classic train sequence at the end.

Batman(1966)*1/2Feature film to captalize on the runaway sucess of the series. Totally misses the mark with too many villians and way too much camp.
Batman(1989)***1/2Tim Burton's dark vision of Batman is stunning and exhilarating. Michael Keaton's Batman is typicaly moody but shines as the caped crusader. The real star of the show is the Joker played by Jack Nicholous. His over-the-top performace brings some much needed humor to the dark precedings.
Batman Forever(1995)***Director Joel Schumacher took the franchise in a totally different diection after the depressing mess of Batman Returns. Taking over as Batman is Val Kilmer who is a passable hero, but is hard to like. The movie is the flipside to the dark story's that Burton presented. Also staring is Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Cris O'Donnell and Drew Barrymore.
Batman Returns(1992)**Disapointing followup to Batman is lost in all the subplots and dreariness. This time around we get too exciting villians with Michelle Pheiffer's Catwoman and Danny Devito's Penguin. Not even these geat performances can save such a messed up script.
Batman and Robin(1997)*Disastrous fourth chapter in the series with George Clooney taking over as Batman. Great effects and A-list actors can't save a script filled with some of the cheesiest dialouge ever written. Arnold Swartszeneger comes on board to play Mr. Freeze, Uma Thurman takes on Poison Ivy and Alicia Sylverstone is Batgirl. A real mess and a perfect way to kill off the series

Battlefield Earth(2000)*1/2Tedious blockbuster with John Travolta as the leader of a band of invading aliens. It's up to a group of rebellious humans to save the day. With such a stupid idea nobody could have pulled this film through. And who's idea was it for Travolta to play the bad guy.
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms(1953)***Trend setting giant monster movie from Ray Bradbry's "The Foghorn". A dinosaur is awakened from a long hibernation and in typical monster movie fashion takes on New York City. This is the first solo excursion for famed stop-motion master Ray Harryhausen.
Beetlejuice(1988)***1/2Tim Burtan's hilarious and inventive horror comedy staring Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. Beneath the Planet of the Apes(1970)***1/2The first of four sequels with a new astronaut coming in search of Taylor and finding a world inhabited with ape men. The Birds(1963)****Rod Taylor star's in Alfred Hitchcock's brilliant story of birds who attack a small villiage. What sets this movie above most of it's kind is how Hitchcock takes the time to set up all the characters. He really gives you a sence of living in that sea-side town. Magnificent combination of heart and horror.
Black Friday(1940)***Unniversial horror version of Donavon's Brain starring Boris Karlof and Bela Lugosi. Solid perfomances and erie atmosphere produce a solid film, superior to the over-rated 53 version.
Black Scorpion(1957)*1/2Watch for Willis O'Brian's effects and forget the story of Giant Scorpians coming out of the ground and terorizing the countryside. Slow and extremly boring.
Blade Runner(1982)****Ridly Scott's classic version of Philip K. Dicks "Do Androids Dream of Sleep". Harrison Ford stars as Deckerd, an android hunter who loses who will but is called in for one more case. With a murky script and brilliant visual this film became the template for hundreds of futuristic movies to come. Rutger Hauer and Sean Young shine as runaway androids.
The Blob(1988)**Classic camp movie starring Steve McQueen in his debut performance. A giant jello creature ravages the neighborhood and it's up to a gang of teens to save the day. Passable 50's fun.

Bride of the Monster(1955)*Classic bad movie from Ed Wood about an evil scientist played by Lugosi who creates monsters in his cabin hidaway. Hilariouly bad.
The Brother from Another Planet(1984)***Joe Morton stars as a stranded alien in John Sayle's character drama. A low budget is overcame by great performances and great writing.
Buck Rodgers(1940)***1/2Standout serial staring the great Buster Crabbe as Buck Rodgers, a Flash Gordan type character who protect's the Universe. This 12 chapter serial details Roger's atempt to travel to Saturn and get help to overthrow dictator Kane. Magnifcent production and characters surely had an influence on George Lucas when he created Star Wars and especially the recent Attack of the Clones.
Bug(1975)*An earthquake unleashes atomic cockroaches who procede to kill people. Some scare's but mainly one big bore.
