Galaxina(1980)*Why director William Sachs gave us one of the sorry excuses for a sci-fi film is unclear. The film attemps to be a parady of Alien, Star Wars, 2001 and Star Trek, but instead is a stupid laughless mess. The story is about the space ship Infinity with a crew of interstellar police that is sent to recover a crystal called the Blue Star. Along the way the captain gives birth to an alien and Galaxina the title robot falls in love with Thor a member of the crew. The space effects are passable for the era, the alien costumes on the other hand are the worst excuse ever. Totally forgetable except for the beautiful Dorothy Stratten as Galaxina.
