Explanation of the conversion:

History: Fred Myers was born in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. He was a great baseball pitcher who was suspended for taking bribes. He was contacted by the Secret Empire, who offered him work and supplied him with the Boomerang identity. When the Secret Empire went bust he made a life for himself as a freelance assassin and worked for Justin Hammer. In his many fights with Spider-Man he has never managed to defeat the wall crawler. The closest he got was when he joined a group hired by Jack O'Lantern called the Sinister Syndicate which was made up of Rhino, Beetle, Hydro-Man, Speed Demon, and himself. He has a grudge against Beetle, who is now MACH-2 of the Thunderbolts, who he feels betrayed him. Mike then he joined the the Masters of Evil VI under the Crimson Cowl III, but was defeated by the Thunderbolts (Thunderbolts #24-25).

He was taken to Seagate prison and participated in an escape attempt that was stopped by MACH-1 (Thunderbolts #26).

He did get out of prison eventually, and attempted to rob a bank in New York, but was stopped by Speedball (New Warriors II #1).


Powers: Boomerang is a normal human who uses a padded suit and a variety of specialized boomerang weapons to commit crimes. He has boot jets that allow him to fly at up to 60 mph and are controlled by cybernetics in his headgear.
