My Home Page

Hello, salut, Hallo, Hej and Ni hao! So, why am I called 1983? That's the year I was born, silly! Check out my profile and leave me a message if you fancy a chat, no matter who you are. I'm also looking to start a band or at least collaborate with people online to make some symphonic black metal. Please note that I am engaged to a girl (see pictures) and am not looking for any lovin'!

I currently live in the UK, as you can see, and I was born here. However, this country is going to the dogs in just about every way you can imagine. It's a tiny little island covered in concrete, houses and millions upon millions of little racist British scum. The welfare state is collapsing, housing is too expensive to afford, the weather is going insane, cars are the dominant lifeform, and I'm afraid to go out in case I get stabbed. Therefore I want to move to somewhere more peaceful and where there is a higher quality of life. Current favourites are Canada and Sweden - both score very highly on life expectancy, welfare and 'human development', not to mention having much more stable climates than the UK. To this end, I'm looking to meet people from either country to chat with (hopefully I should know some Swedish soon).

Some "interesting" facts about me:
- I can speak English, French, German and a bit of Mandarin.
- I can play the piano, bass guitar and a bit of acoustic guitar
- I can mix dance music - i.e. I'm, erm, a good DJ. A career never came my way, probably due to being a goth in a chav's world.
- I study BSc Psychology at Hull University
- When I finish that, I will teach for 2 years and take a 1 year course to become an educational psychologist.
- I love Cradle of Filth and The Prodigy because they're from Essex!

Mountain biking, Star Wars, my bass/acoustic guitars, music, Warhammer 40,000, watching Eastenders, buying new clothes, My parents and 2 brothers, My girlfriend, My brain-damaged hamster - Edmund Hilary Scott Blackadder, pink & purple, painting my strange paintings, my sexy bikes, flying on aeroplanes, going riding with my friends and getting shouted at my miserable old people, talking to children - it reminds me of how fun life used to be

Stuff I like to watch:
Star Wars. I am obsessed. I have everything on VHS and DVD, I have loads of figures and books and I watch it all the time. See pictures.
Blackadder. I think Rowan Atkinson is hilarious and this programme is just great.
Red Dwarf. Hilarious. Comedy AND sci-fi? Ecstasy.
'The Office' and Ricky Gervais stand-up. Ricky Gervais is a GENIUS. He made photocopiers funny.
Top Gear. I don't love cars that much, but Jeremy Clarkson is really funny.

The Beginning of Mankind:

35,000 years ago, a small band of creatures, known as the Samurshans, set out from their homeworld of Samursha on a highly advanced spacecraft called Icarus I'nan. This ship was capable of reaching their destination, a star roughly 4 light years away, in around 8 years. Their mission was simple: Land on the 3rd planet, near the equator, and release the humans. These humans had been genetically engineered to survive on this oxygen-rich planet, and interact with the other inhabitants. The humans were created as the answer to the planet's lack of intelligent species, and as an huge experiment to cement their own knowledge of the origins of life. The mission was a sucess, and the 500 humans were successfully released. The Samurshans observed the humans from space for a period of 6 months, after which they concluded that the humans had successfully integrated into their new environments - immediately preying on the local animals and building a community, albeit with some in-fighting. The Samurshans had expected this, as it reflected their own behaviour. Icarus I'nan left the planet and returned to the home planet. ----

33,000 years later, the Samurshans returned, to deliver a message. They wanted the humans, who had now advanced way beyond their expectations, to know their origins. They landed on a mountain near to a large city. Several humans came to investigate, and these rather shocked humans arrived at the top of the mountain to find a man (a newly created human with advanced powers). This man handed them a tome which carried the wishes of the Samurshan creators, and went forth to inform the humans of their creation. However, the humans we not entirely ready for the news. Whilst some people, especially 12 who became his followers, believed him and , the rulers and the masses of humanity called him a heretic and crucified him. Even when the man recovered from his 'death', they still refused to believe he had come from the stars, and even to this date there are wars between rival human factions over the true nature of this magician and the birth of mankind. Some refuse to even acknowledge the existence of the Samurshans, and, despite their constant covert visits, only small groups of humans still actively support the belief in Samursha. Presently, there are no missions planned to return to the 3rd planet, as Samurshans have had a bad reception of late. Their offspring have grown beyond their control, and they have new problems of their own. Perhaps, one day, they will return.

A few words about my music taste. Music seems to be rather important around here, and it's important to me. There are many records in my collection that have dragged me through dark times and it pains me to hear people bad mouth those artists simply because they never had that experience. I think I have quite a wide taste in muisc - I like something from almost every genre, and judge everything on its individual merit. I don't hate something just because it's country, although I usually hate country. However, show me a great country track and I will buy it. .
