Galadriel is known as the lady of the golden wood, or the white lady. She is of the Noldo race, and an elf. (DUH!) Her parents are Finarfin and Earwen, and her spouse is Celeborn. They had a child named Celebrian, who later married elrond, the lord of Rivendell. Galadriel is thin and tall, with long golden hair, and she had the greatest beauty of the house of Finwe. In the second age, Galadriel founded and became the queen of Lothlorien. During the war of the ring she provides shelter and gives great gifts to the members of the fellowship. Frodo freely offered her the one ring, and she refused. Because of this, and her long opposition to Souron, the Valar permitted her to return to Valinor. Galadriel held Nenya, the ring od adamant. In TA 3021, she sailed over the sea with Elrond, Gandalf, Fodo, and Bilbo.
