About the Author


He was the first that’s ever won the Hugo and Nebula awards for best novel two years in a row. Orson Scott Card received them for Ender's Game and its sequel, Speaker for the Dead, in 1986 and 1987.

Born in Richland, Washington, Card grew up in California, Arizona, and Utah. Now he lives in Greensboro, North Carolina and has five children. Card writes more than one genre of book. He also writes contemporary novels, but he is a fine science fiction writer.
