In the year 927, a seductress, Miriam Hester, died after being stricken with insanity. She was judged to be evil, as she had caused numerous others mental distress while alive, and turned into a majirigyousou.

During her stay in hell, 'Zorak', as she came to be called, was found to be skilled with numerous firearms, and was given a collection of guns stolen from various mortals. In fact, a gunsmithing company run by a demon in the mortal realm took a liking to her, and made her their weapons tester.

However, in the year 1311, she was sent from hell by Belial to recover something for him. It was him that had given her the name Cacelal, and it was also him that gave her the ability to disguise herself as a garoujin. Two years later, she acquired the artifact - an emerald orb known to destroy memories - only to find Belial had ditched her. After hearing that a close friend of hers, Dialo Weiss, had a ruby mirror seized from her, Cacelal decided it was time to give up. She approached Baron and End, offering to hand over the orb in return for another friend, Fiang.

Ever since, she's kept ties with the gunsmithing company, as well as another person, Griff Amanziani, who had recently been resurrected by a demon.

  • [Innate] Demonic Traits - Due to Cacelal's demonic nature, she takes 50% less damage from shadow-based attacks. As her level goes up, so does this bonus (75% at level 5, immunity at level 10, 25% absorption at level 15, and 50% absorption at level 20). However, Cacelal takes 2 times as much damage from holy-based attacks (which increases by 25% at level 5 and every fifth level thereafter), and cannot be healed by holy magic unless it can also heal shadow-based creatures.
  • [Firearms=2] Rapid Fire (2 TP per extra shot) - Cacelal can fire any gun more than once in a round. However, each shot, including the first, suffers a -3 penalty to hit.
  • [Firearms=3, Intimidate=3] Scare Tactics (3 TP) - Cacelal fires a bullet so that it narrowly misses the opponent. If her shot is successful, the opponent must roll a Courage check or panic (the exact effect of this is up to the GM).
  • [Firearms=4] Sniper (6 TP) - Cacelal carefully aims at the target before firing. Her shot is delayed to the end of the round, but she gains a +5 to hit and +1 damage on the shot.

This causes 26+(level*4)+3d20 damage (treat as a gun with an accuracy of 10 for evasion purposes), but knocks Cacelal back at least seven yards if she is not braced against a solid object (which could cause her to hit a wall or another person).
  • [Firearms=4, item granted] Lunar Eclipse Rocket (12 TP, 10 HP) - Cacelal brings out Lunar Eclipse, her rocket launcher, and loads it up. At the end of the round, she then fires the rocket, which deals 50+(level*6)+3d12 damage (treat this as a gun with an Accuracy of 2 for evasion purposes), but knocks her prone.
  • [Telepathy=2] Guarded Telepathy (0 MP out of combat, 2 MP in combat) - Forces any prying minds to overcome the user's abilities in order to listen in on a telepathic conversation. In order to listen in, the listener must make a Telepathy skill check roll vs. the Telepathy skill check roll of the original telepath.
  • [Telepathy=3] Stealth Mind (12 MP) - Cacelal can read a person’s mind, or 'listen' to relayed thoughts, if they fail a spell resist check or a Telepathy check (use whichever check is greater).
  • [Telepathy=4, Diplomacy=4, Intimidate=4] Psywave (12 MP) - Confuses the target, causing them to do one of three things: be dazed and unable to act for 1d4 rounds, attack allies and enemies randomly, or flee from combat.
  • [Telepathy=4] Mind Shield (10 MP) - Helps prevent outside listeners from breaking in on telepathic conversation, providing extra "shielding" (a bonus to all Telepathy checks to prevent intruders) equal to rank+2.

  • [Telepathy=6, Diplomacy=4] Brainwave Pacifism (7 MP) - Counters Berserk and Fear effects, and calms sentient creatures for rank rounds.
  • [Firearms=8] Streetsweeper (5 TP) - Cacelal unloads her guns at everyone in an area, trying to hit as many people as possible. Everyone within the intended area is shot at, be they friend or foe, for normal damage, but a -3 to hit. Only used in absolute desperation, when Cacelal needs to take down as many people as she can with her.
  • [Telepathy=6, Intimidate=4] Brainwave Hostility (7 MP) - Causes the status effect "Berserk".
  • [Innate (not available until level 5)] Demon Form (15 TP) - Cacelal transforms into her true form - a vile, two-legged praying mantis with six arms: two huge claw-arms like those of the mantis, two more delicate hands, and two tentacles. All equipment Cacelal has with her melds into her new form. Also, Cacelal's Strength and Stamina increase by 2 points each, but her Dexterity and Charisma are each reduced by 2 points. Cacelal also gains a natural AC of 15, and her HP goes up by 40%. Furthermore, in addition to her normal Punch and Kick attacks, she gains a Rake attack (with the two mantis-claws) that deals 12+STR*4+2d6 damage at a -6 penalty to hit.
