6.) Physical appearance: Gruff and outdoorsy - he is hardened from years as a circuit rider. He has a beard that he keeps neatly trimmed close to his face and no mustache. His hair is wildly curly and all over the place, shoulder length and held back with a leather thong on days that static seems to leap from his head. His hair is burnished copper with gold in it - his beard bearing more gold than the copper. He is 6'4'', toned and not bulky and has light green/gray eyes with coppery/gold eyelashes and eyebrows as well. He has a real shot at a light tan in the summer - but burns frequently - especially from the wind after riding. He has almost permanently blushed cheeks :)

7.) Personality: When teaching, nothing but perfection will do for him. He does not keep his patience well, hates to repeat things over and over and just flat will not do so. He teaches Equine care and riding for trainees that need it - something that he takes seriously and does not allow mistakes in for the safety of all involved. When not teaching, he is laid back to the point of insolence sometimes, makes silly comments, carouse a bit, and has a girl in every port - though he's careful to maintain decorum with students. He is, however, a surprisingly good listener and good at hearing out the homesickness and heart aches of new trainees and novices.

8.) Brief history: Joshuin's parents only had one son - Joshuin. Both were Heralds - his mother a teacher at the Collegium when he was young. His parents still live in Haven with their companions, retired from all active duty and service - both over 65. Joshuin grew up in Haven under the noses of all the Companions and their Chosen. He actually even lived in the Collegium in an apartment with his parents. He is extremely close to him mother staying long nights with her while his father was on circuit. Josh went to school at the combined Collegiums, but he manifested no true talents to be worked with and honed. Before he had a chance to worry about what came next for a child with no visible talent in the Collegiums - he was Chosen by his stallion Seldon. Gaining his whites on time (miraculously), Joshuin rode circuit for 15 years in the service of the crown and then broke his leg while in Haven playing in the snow one winter... he was put to teaching a class and has stayed with it ever since. Seldon likes the Mares and Joshuin - well - he's happy not to have to move around on his leg in the cold too ;)

9.) Mother: Serai, 67, Retired herald, sharp as a tack and loving being able to say anything she wants because she's old. Joshuin adores her. She thinks that Josh needs to settle down with a homely girl :)Companion Istra

4.) Personality: Frisky and silly, he likes to sidle up to random mares and see what they're doing after school is over... He takes risks that turn Josh's hair white and tries to talk to everyone at least once in a lifetime - if not more. He's got odd philosophies to life that spill out of him occasionally - you have to take his wisdom (and Josh's) with a grain of salt - capable teachers, interesting characters.
