Everybody at one time or another
wants to play the guitar but never know how to get started. It is easier than
you think, and you will not know unless you give yourself a chance. The “oldest
song in the world” was discovered in the Syrian city of ancient Ugarit, (modern
Ras Shamra), and believed to be about 3,400 years old. The forms of musical
notation were markings of cuneiform origin in the hurrian language with borrowed
Akkadian expressions.
Music has been in existence since ancient times!
Music is in all things. It is in the city we live in, in the workplace, in the
quietness of our being, and in nature itself. Everyday our heart continuously
beats a rhythm, but many times goes unnoticed. One’s expression is of the
essence. What better way to express one’s self-but through art, or more
specifically, through the endowment of music. Harmony has always been, but our
senses have become deadened or disinterested because of the busyness of life. We
have forgotten how to recognize harmony. We have to retrain ourselves to listen
for music. It brings me great pleasure that you have taken the first step
at becoming part of history and joining the legacy of music.
