You approach the next area a bit more slowly, as it seems to be getting darker. The area seems to be thinning out, and the brush and grass seem to almost disappear now. You can see them in the distance, but very few are near to the bank of the brook.

Finally, you make out a bit of dark purple and black floating around near the bank. You step closer hoping to see the creature again, but you are pretty sure that either the creature has disappeared, or the creature does not want to see you.

"Who goes there?" you hear. You can't tell where it is coming from, either.

You feebly introduce yourself in hopes to see the creature. Sadly, all you hear is a bunch of leaves and sticks crunching underfoot. You press on, but stop when you hit your head on a branch and fall back.

"What?" you say, sure the branch wasn't there before. You look at the branch and see a small catlike creature hanging upsidedown from the branch!

"Hello, wanderor," she says in a bold, angry voice. She coils up the branch and places both her feet on the branch. "I am called Hei Proinorr, or Hei for short."

"Hei Proinorr?" you ask, a bit dumbly.

She shakes her head. "It is my homeworld's language, Faidian. Hei Proinorr means 'Dark Warrior', and Hei means 'Dark'. After all, I am a Darkness Melcey." She leans over the branch. "You do know what a Melcey is, don't you?"

You nod, for you do not wish to be make fun of again. She leaps down and smiles. "Good. I figured as much. After all, we are the most famous of the Faidian creatures." She leans a bit closer. "Would you like to see something interesting, wanderor?"

You nod, in hopes to see another of her kind. "Then follow me!"
