Misc: Atrus...is lazy. He lives behind my dresser and sleeps. All the time. We call him "Narcoleptic Man." When he wakes up, he spits out some nice poetry, but he hardly ever wakes up...


Name: Raven
Muse Of: Layout, Design, and other "Pretty Things"
Origin: Nobody knows.
Misc: Like Atrus, Raven is rarely helpful. Rather, he is often drunk. On vodka. His favorite place of residence is the ceiling fan in my bedroom, on which he likes to spin until he falls off. His other favorite past times include annoying Relanna and making up random nonsense words. His vocabulary, however, is very limited--mainly to "pretty," "not pretty," "shiny," and "not shiny."


Name: Sam
Muse Of: Dialogue & Scene Setting
Origin: Quantum Leap
Misc: Sam is one of the useful ones, actually. I'm told that he writes good dialogue. Unfortunately, he's usually the only one who retains his sanity, so he spends most of his time keeping the others under control...

Misc: Al, true to his original character, likes getting drunk. And smoking cigars. He is, however, not a hologram, as evidenced by the number of times LeChuck has picked him up and hurled him across the room.


Name: Ti'ana Katarina

Origin: Failed original story.
Misc: Ti'ana is never here, and really, it's a good thing she isn't. She's very perky. She enjoys shopping in places like The Gap. Horror. We don't really know where she darts off to...nor do we care. Her picture is actually copyright Jonathon Earl Bowser.


Name: LeChuck
Muse Of: Villains, Eeeevil and Monkey Island
Origin: Monkey Island
Misc: LeChuck made himself a muse through the evil use of an apparent clause in his character contract, which I didn't even know he had. Since then, he's been one of my more active muses. He likes shooting his flaming voodoo cannonballs at things...like Guybrush. He's also Relanna's unofficial underling.


Name: Guybrush Ulysses Threepwood
Muse Of: Monkey Island, Academics and Angst
Origin: Monkey Island
Misc: I made Guybrush a muse when I thought that the newly muse-ified LeChuck was going to kill him. Since then, he's had his fair share of harrowing experiences...such as being kidnapped by an eight year old demon child, being the victim of several of my slash bunnies, and so on. I think all the trauma's gotten to him...he occasionally moonlights as my muse of angst and general wibbleness. He's also been my "muse d'academia" since last year, handling all things involving schoolwork, which also means he puts up with a lot of abuse. I don't know what it is that makes him stick around, but he does. And he comes up with some darn good ideas, too. Guybrush is also the lead muse on any and all Monkey Island related projects.

Misc: He's a bit slow, and likes to kick holes in my walls...but he's good at battle scenes, so we keep him around. Besides, he's an orc. And a certain author ::cough:: has an orc fetish.

Misc: Trask is the father of all my slash bunnies. He has split personalities, you see. On one side is the normal, loveable, dead sexy romance muse, Trask. On the other...is Lord of All Shippage. He enjoys spotting and/or coming up with disturbing pairings, slash and otherwise. Lately, there's been no stopping him--that's why we keep him locked in my closet. Unless you enjoy being attacked by slash bunnies, avoid at all costs. Oh, and he likes to talk in Shakespearean English, too.


Name: Lannen

Misc: I made Lannen a muse when I thought he would be useful, and lo and behold, he was. He's always around, never drunk, and enjoys helping. Though sometimes the other muses scare him. A lot.


Name: Relanna
Muse Of: Subtle Evil, General Bitchiness, Vampires & Herself
Origin: Realmz Fall/Original Story
Misc: Relanna made herself a muse and didn't deign to inform me until she felt like it. It's been like that ever since. She has complete authority over her character and usually won't tell me her motivations until she's good and ready. She is the Queen Bitch, and that's quite possibly an understatement. I don't control her at all. In fact, I suspect that she's assembling underlings (such as LeChuck) for a hostile takeover of something or another. However, she can be handy for dealing with pesky muses (or people) who just won't go away...


Name: Medivh
Muse Of: Warcraft & Backstories
Origin: Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
Misc: Medivh isn't the newest muse anymore, but he's still easily confused. Usually we can't get much out of him beyond "Huh? Wha? Who? So confused." We're sure he's worth something, though, we just don't know what yet. Whenever Relanna's around he has a tendency to cower under my bedspread, as he thinks that she's Lord Archimonde reincarnated. To be honest, sometimes I wonder if he's not right.


Name: Captain Jack Sparrow
Muse Of: Pirating, Monkey Island, Pirates of the Caribbean, and did we mention pirates?
Origin: Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Misc: Jack showed up shortly after my first viewing of "Pirates of the Caribbean." We suspect that LeChuck and Guybrush may have bribed him. Either way, he's here to stay, we just don't quite know what to do with him yet. As such, he's serving as assistant to Guybrush and LeChuck on their projects until further notice. He's not happy about that. Not in the slightest. Got a bloody big ego, that one.


Name: Largo LaGrande
Muse Of: Himself, Titles, & who knows what else
Origin: Monkey Island
Misc: When I was writing Camera Obscura, Largo showed up at the foot of my bed one morning with a cattle prod and every intention of making me work faster--"or else." We let him stay until Camera Obscura was finished, at which point he was supposed to leave. He didn't. After much whining and complaining from both Guybrush and LeChuck, Largo went from being Muse #13.5 to being Muse #14. Lord only knows what we're going to do with him now. He's the quiet type, but he has some good ideas occasionally.


Name: Arthas
Muse Of: Warcraft (we think)
Origin: Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos/Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
Misc: Arthas appeared in my head one day, less than a month ago, completely out of nowhere and singing bits of the Counting Crows' "Round Here." We don't know how. We don't know why. All we know is, he's here now, and he's shown no indication of leaving. And while it's nice to have a Warcraft muse who isn't perpetually confused, it's been agreed upon by all that this is just plain weird.
