Many fans consider the episode a key stop in the path along the Mulder & Scully relationship, especially due to the way Scully cries in his arms at the end.

Scully's car has been found but she ain't in it. Mulder gets worried.

Dazed and confused...

Scully wakes up dazed and confused. Donnie Pfaster had forced her off of the road in her car and she'd been knocked out. Now she was bound and gagged in a closet. Fortunately, she escapes from the madman and while they fight over her gun Mulder arrives. The psycho is led away to jail.

A stunned Scully fights for her life

Scully nearly escapes from the psycho but takes a tumble down a flight of stairs (ouch!). She takes a moment to get her bearing before reaching for her gun which has landed nearby. The villain nearly gets it, too -- but then Mulder arrives with backup.
