MY LIFE STORY

I was born in Edmonton London N9. Actually 175 St Mary's Road, January 12 1950.

My birthplace, it's kind of run down now, but still lives in my memory

I know it was that day, because I was there.

Weren't I a sweet thing, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth. Spiders did though.
Can you guess which one is me.

My Mother Joyce, had me out of wedlock,a thing that was shunned those days,so my grandparents took me under their wing. My earliest memory and I suppose also my hobby, was going into the garden, eating dirt, sucking on coal and eating spiders, if I did that now, I'd be sent to an asylum.

There is one thing to be said about eating spiders.I have never had any fear of handling them, no matter how large they are.

The first day of school was my next important step towards growing up. At the morning break I decided that I had had enough of school, so I went home.

About ½ hour later the headteacher came to collect me. I spent 3 very enjoyable and interesting years at Eldon Road school. Playing conkers in the autumn and getting my knuckles rapped and opening chrysalis in the winter, just to see what was there.

Eldon Road school a splendid school my mother and uncle's went there as well.

I was probably the most adorable boy in the class, what with the size of those ears. Sweetness personified.
Me in a typically thinking pose. Do you like the shorts, sexy huh!
There was always parties and celebrations, which was an excuse for cake, unfortunately I still had big ears though!

Every Saturday morning was the cinema club at the Granada picture house which was situated near the Green itself seeing Charlie Chan and his many sons.

followed by Mickey Mouse

or a Popeye cartoon.

Not only was I not afraid of any creepy crawlies, (in future years I would keep spiders as pets) our household was alive with pets, pet dogs, pet cats, pet rabbits etc.

Me holding my first pussy, note the nakedness of the flesh

I learnt early on to always have a smile on my face and to have a good sense of humour, it has helped me no end to cope with many trials that have beset me throughout my life so far.

Can you recognise me through my disguise.
I was about 4 when this pic was taken standing in Pymmes Park one of the nicest parks (I thought at that time it was) in North London.

1958 was the next most important year in my life for two reasons, one was we moved to the Herts\Essex border the other was my beautiful wife Diana was born in the backwoods of Wellsboro Pennsylvania in the USofA.

My wife Diana at the tender age of about 3 years looking so sweet ahhh!!!! isn't she 'luvverly' I wonder what she's waiting for? sweeties? cookies? or jelly? who knows, but I was to become her husband in years to come.
