The ease in which I removed this panel makes me think Galoob considered this feature. I pulled down the door and reglued it open, then painted it brown. That was it.
UPDATE - NO change to the vehicle itself, but now that I've seen the Mystery trailer it seems that I've had an Episode 2 custom this whole time! Notice how my custom is much more acurate to the film version than the Art of version.
