Oh how I hated running into these guys! This figure was basically an experiment. I lost the binoculars that came with OOM-9 and couldn't find any extra, so I just bought the figure. I was going to just paint him red, since there's a single Battle Droid Commander in the Geonosian Arena (Mace takes his head off) but I just saved the antenna in his back for later. I was feeling nostalgic for those early 90s Star Wars days - when the Expanded Universe was still new, and all 15 of our POTF2 figures were all taking steroids. Ok, tangent. Anyway, I noticed that the Dark Trooper's legs looked a lot like a Battle Droid's, and so I figured why not? I modified the head and tipped it all the way forward and then used a Boss Nass cloak for all the armor, the shield, and even the sword. Considering the base figure, I'm damn proud of this one!
