Frequent visitors to this site may have noticed that on several astromech pages I've commented on why exactly R2-D2 (and all other astromechs) is either considered male, or said to have male programming. Well, the VS gave me a chance to to break that streak. R2-J2 here is the world's first female astromech droid. She's refered to as "she" just as R2-D2 is refered to as "he" :) And how do our heroes know the difference? Well, your guess is as good as mine. J2 is named after my fiance - Jay-Jay, and she also picked the colors. While not much of a football fan, the colors are based on those of the Dolphins, who hail from the city where she was born.
