Everyone (and by everyone I mean "every giant Star Wars nerdo") knows that the Ewoks who were given names in the RotJ script were Wicket, Paploo, Teebo, Logray and Chief Chirpa. What everyone (and this time I really do mean "everyone") doesn't know is that there is another Ewok in the credits with a name - Nikki (the first name of the guy who play him was Nicky) Why this Ewok spefically got a name, I'm not sure. What I can tell you is that Nikki is the Ewok who gets blown up but the AT-ST. Apparently the two Ewoks were just supposed to be knocked down by the explosion. What the shot was finished the other one got up and saw that Nikki was still lying there and went to see what was wrong. It was touching enough that they kept it in the film, but I guess that to make up for his being hurt, Nikki got full credits. In fact all of the extra who played Ewoks got their names in the credits due to the painfully gruelling time that the had during filming. Lucky for me too, since it allowed me to know just how many Ewoks there were in total, and therefore how many I have left to make. I only wish the same had been true of the Arena Jedi.
