For the stripes down the sides of the pants, go get some red and yellow fabric scraps. While yr still in the fabric store, get some of that iron on applique stuff. Follow the directions and attach it to the back of the fabric. Then you have to measure it out and space it along the pants. Then you can just iron it on. Hey, at least there's no sewing involved...

As for the gun, I was able to find a squirt gun that looks vaguely like a Mauser, though it was a flourescent orange color. But with some pipe, some time, and some spraypaint, I'm sure it'll look pretty good. I would recommend looking everywhere for squirtguns in the summer. Decent looking guns can be hard to find at other times of the year, unless you wanna shell out a lot of cash for a replica gun. I just wanted something to put in the holster, anyway.
