Dungeons And Dragons is a difficult movie to understand. It attempts to incorporate literature into a real-time movie, all while holding a stellar story line. Does it succeed? Not this time. This movie is about sorcerers, thieves, and an evil magician. The plot absolutely sucks, and the overall presentation is not far from the same thing. I guess that if you tried to use your imagination to see the point in releasing a movie that is about… well, dungeons and dragons, you may find yourself letting out a slight giggle as Marlon Wayans is the only reason for you to actually want to keep watching. If I had to sit down and think of one good thing about this movie, it would have to be the swordplay and action scenes. The camera swirls and switches angle nicely during these scenes, and that is definitely a plus. If you are really into these types of movies, I would still only recommend a weekend rental one it is released on tape or DVD.
