SEGA Dreamcast Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Review

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

Can anyone say boring? No, not really, I guess that you have to like walking around for what seems like decades trying to find action. The battles are slow, the controls are below average, and the sounds…Oh, don't remind me. It seems like this game was rushed. Although it was supposed to be a smash hit, you know, making its debut on Dreamcast and all, it was a smash, but the hit missed. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver does have it's higher points, (Mainly in the graphics department), and within its array of chambers, secrets, and abundant amount of switches; unfortunately the bad out weighs the good by a few hundred pounds. If you like adventurous games, (Not quite out matching the Tomb Raider series), where you are going aroud doing things that you really do not understand, this game is for you. If you would rather stick Quality horror games like Resident Evil, you would want to look elsewhere. Soul Reaver is worth no more than a rental.

Graphics: 8.5 (Pretty impressive graphics here)
Sounds: 6.0 (The dark music fits the mood, but it gets extremely too quiet)
Game play: 7.5
Overall: 7.0
