SEGA Dreamcast Resident Evil: Code Veronica Review

Another must have Dreamcast Game

Resident Evil: Code Veronica

Scary, Fun, and Addictive: Three words that have described almost the entire Resident Evil series. Code Veronica does not sway far from the roots of the series, further pushing into the already complex story of zombies, mutated monsters, and the people stupid enough to stick around and face them. In Code Veronica, you play as Claire Redfield for the majority of the game. She is in search of her brother Chris who you later meet up with and play as for a brief point in the game. Throughout the story Capcom does a good job of including helper characters and a strange abundance of first aid sprays to help you survive. Don't think that this is a cakewalk however, because it is far from that. The game keeps up tradition using Capcom's patented puzzle solving type of game play. The visuals are real-to-life, and with little load time between cut scenes and actual game play, you will hardly be able to tell the difference. Code Veronica is yet another Dreamcast Masterpiece.

Graphics: 10.0 (The best graphics ever, in a Resident Evil game at this time)
Sounds: 9.0 (Steve did sound a little strange, but everything else made up for that)
Game play: 10.0 (Standard Resident Evil style controls, which is a surprise considerig the controller difference)
Overall: 10.0
