You may observe the following in the table;
- An ascending temperature profile is required for polymers with high thermal stabilty of more than 4 min. when the actual shot is lower than 30% of maximum shot size of the machine. Therefore, this profile can not be suitable for reinforced and filled polymers as their thermal stability is medium.
- A flat temperature profile is required for the shot range between 20% to 40% ranges for the polymers with medium thermal stability.
- A hump temperature profile is required for the polymers with thermal stability between 2 to 4 min. when the actual shot is in range between 25% to 60% of the maximum shot capacity of the machine.
A reverse temperature profile is required for the heat and shear sensitive polymers (with less than 2 min. thermal stability) when the actual shot is over 60% of the maximum shot capacity of the machine
