The Unnamed Planet - Movie Reviews

There are millions of movie review sites on the Internet. To avoid wasting your time, the movies listed here are simply rated "thumbs up" or "thumbs down". If we receive an e-mail request about a particular movie, a more in-depth review will be added. We'll also try to focus on sci-fi movies.
Why such a simple rating system? While many people favour the five-star system, we find it too subjective. For example, some critics will rate a movie that they reccommend and consider average at 2 stars, while other critics only give less than 3 stars to movies they find terrible. Our ratings are simple to understand: "Thumbs up" means we think it's worth seeing and "thumbs down" means we think it's not worth seeing. Enjoy, and feel free to e-mail requests.

Back to the Future TrilogyLots of action. Solid time-travel plot with no glaring holes. All-around good fun.
Battlestar GalacticaOne of the sci-fi classics. Worth a look if you're at all in to space movies.
Bill & Ted's Excellent AdventureA very fun movie, including some very cheesey acting by Keanu Reeves.
Bill & Ted's Bogus JourneyQuite possibly one of the stupidest movies ever made. Complete waste of film. Ted also wears a really stupid happy-face shirt.
E.T.It may be regarded as a classic, but it was also really creepy in a bad way.
The Fifth ElementReally flashy with absolutely no plausible plot. None. Very funny if you look for all the (unintentional) references to other sci-fi films.
The Iron GiantTouching cartoon of a boy and his robot.
The Last StarfighterClassic space story from the 80's video game era.
Lost in SpaceThis is NOT the "Lost in Space" you remember from TV. This is garbage being passed off as a film adaptation of a classic series.
The MatrixOver-hyped up the whazoo, but it's still a decent movie. Lots of action and an interesting story, although it falls apart at the end.
Planet of the Apes AnthologyNon-stop ape action! The first two are the best and have an excellent social commentary, but once you get hooked you'll have to see the rest of the series.
Star Trek - The Motion Picture"Star Trek: A Commercial for a New Series that was so Bad we Never Made it."
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Kahn"Star Trek: Kahn's the Man!"
Star Trek III - The Search for Spock"Star Trek: Leonard Nimoy Wants Back in the Franchise"
Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home"Star Trek: The Cool Time-Travel One Where They Save the Whales!"
Star Trek V - The Final Frontier"Star Trek: The Writers' Heads are Stuck Up their Butts"
Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country"Star Trek: The Apology for Number 5"
Star Trek - GenerationsThis should have been a TV episode. Dull.
Star Trek - First ContactBorg. Time travel. Action. Very, very cool.
Star Trek - InsurrectionThis also should have been a TV episode. Maybe not even that.
Star Wars - The Phantom MenaceBeautiful imagery, great action, and deep plot. This movie is a favorite target for critics, but $445,000,000 worth of movie-goers can't be wrong.
Star Wars TrilogySolid space action. Everything you want in a movie is here.
TronFun concept and stunning visuals. This movie won't change your life, but it's a fun ride.
X-MenFun movie. Not the greatest movie I've seen, and it was too short, but it's still worth seeing.
