To most people the ‘minor prophets’ are obscure books in the bible that are difficult to find, so the aim of these cartoons was to act as pun-filled reminders of the main themes and content of these books.

If you hadn’t worked it out already, you’ll notice they are wearing miner’s helmets - for an obvious reason. Other puns can be found in the cartoons. If you’re familiar with the books, try working out the puns before you read my explanations.

The drawings are based on comments and reflections made by members of a Bible study group which studied the Minor Prophets.
