======= An Illustrated Concert ======= Lianna and Gordon --- Music --- First, crowd music, then less as Lianna and Gordon move away from the crowds. The Lianna theme is stated and developed, followed by a duet alternating between the Lianna and Gordon themes, sometimes within a single bar, always with different instruments. There's a short interlude with the Murn theme. Gordon meets Arn's fiance, Star-Pincess Lianna. It was only an arranged marriage between principalities, but Gordon is genuinely taken by her. He found himself with Lianna on the threshold of a great hall whose fairy-like green illumination came from the flaming comets that crept across its ceiling "sky." Hundreds were dancing here... . . . "Let's not dance," Lianna said, to his relief. . . . These were gardens of glowing light, of luminous color! Trees and shrubs bore masses of blossoms that glowed burning red, cool green, turquoise blue, and every shade between. The soft breeze that brought heavy perfume from them shook them gaily like a forest of shining flame-flowers, transcendently lovely. . . . Gordon put his arm around her and bent to her lips.
