Hello. I am very happy, due to the fact that I have finally created a page to display some of my faerie art that I actually like. My first page was named "A Fidget of Faeries", and it seems like a good name for this page now. I figure that if you can have a murder of crows or a heralding of larks, there's no reason why you can't have a fidget of faeries. So welcome and enjoy.
This faery is one of the oldest faeries on the page. My friend Angela posed for this picture(and many of the others). None of the faeries actually look like Angela, but a lot of them have pieces from her, and this faery got the attitude of an LA girl that no one wants to mess with.
This faery delights in spreading joy. She knows sorrow, but sorrow is too weak to hold onto the wings of a merry dancing faery. This faery is either so innocent he looks mischevious or so mischevious that he looks innocent. I'm not sure which. Granted, odd things tend to happen with this faery around, and they're always a little funny and a little frustrating.
This faery is Helynna. She's the guardian of my sketchbook and the guardian of this page. She's kind, gentle, and far more responsible than you would imagine a faery could be. There's a reason why she's right after the mischevious autumn boy faery. This little faery is a quiet
little fire elemental. He favors fireplaces and may even assist in keeping goblins from coming
down the chimney. We don't have a chimney in our apartment, but we have lots of goblins.
When this faery showed up, over two years ago, I knew little about her. All I knew was that she prided herself on being mysterious and everyone found her quite beautiful. Two years later, none of this has changed.
This faery lives on Liz's fridge and is very happy there. The tree in the picture lives in Kenmore Square in Boston and is happy when you climb into him, but reluctant to let you leave.
This faery is the only one of the faeries that ended up looking like my friend Angela, and he's a boy. Hmmm. Needless to say, she liked him a lot and now he lives with her, all of the way across the country from me. This faery distinctly resembles Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame. I've given Tori Amos and Neil Gaiman faeries, but I think, given the opportunity, I would still not even show this faery to Trent. However, I think that this faery is quite lovely and I'm happy to show him to anyone who views this page.
This faery showed up after I visited the Faerie Forum and participated in a discussion about whether or not faeries hibernate in the winter and whether or not they like chocolate. This faery is happiest playing with her M&M in the snow. This faery is pleased to join this page, after a bit of a holiday. He is inspired by the Tori Amos song "Twinkle". He's certainly been mistaken for a twinkling star more than once, but he never minds when you wish on him.
Last but not least on this page of faeries is a Mapletree Dryad. She looks exactly the way my dearest tree friend would look, if he was a girl. He likes this dryad, but I won't let her live with him.
