Chapter 9: The Examinations.
Sista3"Manic, what're you doing?" Sonic asked. "Huh? Oh! What? Nothin' dude, just chillin around..you know," Manic said with a broad smile. Sonia arched and eyebrow,"What is that?" She pointed at a pile of papers. "Uhm..."Manic mumbled. "It's test papers!" Sonic exclaimed.
"What??? Manic! How could you!" Sonia yelled angrily,"Why didn't you show it to us? Traitor!" "But these aren't test papers! These are fanfics!" Manic said. "Fan fics?" Sonic questioned and started reading the first paragraph:
~It wrote: "Manic, what're you doing?" Sonic asked. "Huh? Oh! What? Nothin' dude, just chillin around..you know," Manic said with a broad smile. Sonia arched and eyebrow,"What is that?" She pointed at a pile of papers. "Uhm..."Manic mumbled. "It's test papers!" Sonic exclaimed.~ hee hee
"Hey, this fanfic is about you and Shadow...as lovers! Wheeheeheehee!" Sonia giggled, reading another fanfic. "What? Noo!! I don't even like Shadow! He's so dense on Maria! Everything he does is always Maria this Maria that!" Sonic muttered.
--Meanwhile--
"Maria..." Shadow said poeticly. "Can you keep quiet Shadow, I'm trying to study," Maria mumbled, busy reading a book. "B-but you've been studying for three days non-stop!" Shadow whined. He peeped at Maria's book. "Hey...you're not studying! Isn't that a picture of Nike?" Shadow asked enviously. Maria gasped and shut the book, "Of course not! How could you doubt me! I was studying about nike shoes!"
Shadow pouted doubtfully. "You're studying about nike shoes???" he asked. "Shadow! You don't trust me anymore! I'm running away!" Maria said between tears. "No!! Maria! I was-I was only joking! Ha-ha..you know, joking..har-har..." Shadow said aloud.
"Ha-ha-ha.."
"..........."
"Ha."
"."--Someplace else--
RIIIIINNNGGGG!!!!
"DIE ALARM CLOCK!!" Amy screamed with an evil hungry look on her face. She smashed the tiny alarm clock to pieces with her golden pico pico hammer. ........and fell back to sleep on the floor. After a long while, Amy dragged her sleepy body towards her desk mumbling,"I remember that there was something important today.." She looked at her desk slowly. She spotted a note on her desk----EXAMANATION DAY.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Amy screamed in terror. She rushed to the bathroom to get ready.
Meanwhile---downstairs---
Someone rang the doorbell. Fortunately, Amy couldn't hear it. A voice of someone cursing softly was heard before a small package was slid under Amy's front door.
Back to Amy---
Amy got out of the bathroom looking a lot more fresh and ready. For her examination, she decided to dress up a little. She wore a cute black bow on her head and a sexy black dress, for two reasons---
1.) attract Sonic. (becos boys usually think black is cool)
2.) for it was a special day---(duh)
Amy ran quickly downstairs and grabbed her unusually black bag. Before she could get out of her house, she tripped over a small package and fell flat on her face. "Ohhhhh!!Now I have to straighten my bow again!" Amy muttered. As she pulled herself up, she noticed the small lil' black package on the floor. She picked it up and read the words written on it: For someone who wants to make a difference in his/her life."Ooohh!!!This must be for me!!" Amy squealed happily. She tore open the package to see a new shiny, glowing blue pen. "Must be from SONIC!!!! (cos it's blue! doh!)" Amy said and dropped the pen into her bag. She then rushed off to school to sit for the examinations.
In school-- First examination--
Amy shot a pose at Sonic's direction; hoping to catch his attention. Sonic looked at Amy, his jaw fell --
"OH MY GOODNESS!! AMY!! WHY ARE YOU DRESSED IN BLACK?!?" Sonic cried in horror,"DID SOMEONE DIE???"
Amy smacked her forehead and muttered,"No....!!!"
"Yeah, looks like someone died," Knuckles agreed.
Soon, everyone started asking Amy whether someone had died."Now I want you all to be VERY VERY QUIET during the exam," said Locke. "Okay!" Amy said happily. "SHHHHH!!!" everyone shushed Amy. "Hey! Don't shush me!" Amy shot back.
"SHHHHHH!!!"
"But-"
"SHHHHHH!!!"
"But-"
"SHHHHHH!!!"
"Hmpf!"
"SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"Everyone then marched into the classroom with serious faces.
"NOW! Sit down," Locke said.
Everyone took their seats in an orderly manner.
"NOW! Let the examinations BEGIN!" Locke announced.
Amy pulled out her new blue pen which she thought was "given by Sonic" and smiled happily,"I'll pass this exam because of you my little bluie!"
"SHHHHH!!!"Amy rolled her eyes and twisted the cover of the blue pen. Before the nib of the pen could touch her examination paper, it slipped out of her hand and onto the floor. Amy tried to pick it up but--
"Amy! What do you think you're doing?? Sit straight and write!" Locke said strictly. "But my-" Amy tried to explain. "No buts! NOW!" Locke yelled. Amy sighed and took out another pen out of her bag.
The "blue" pen then gave a bright glow before it stood up with it's nib in the air...it spun around as if looking for something. It slided smoothly on the tiled floor of the class towards Sonic. Swiftly, it hopped onto Sonic's seat and then onto Sonic's table. Sonic was busy stretching his arms; not noticing the blue, shiny, glowing pen. The pen turned upside down and started to scribble on Sonic's paper: Sonic loves Amy, Amy loves Sonic.
As soon as it was finished, it hopped of the table and repeated scribbling on other students' test paper with different words.
Locke walked around the class; to make sure no one was copying. As he shot a glance at his son's paper (Knuckles), he exclaimed in shock,"Knuckles!! You scum bag!!" Knuckles looked up at his dad with a puzzled look. Locke fumed silently and pointed at Knuckles' test paper: My dad is the world's lousiest echidna!!
"B-B-But I didn't write this!!" Knuckles sputtered as he grabbed his paper in disbelief but Locke wouldn't believe him and booted him out of class. "DAD!!!" Knuckles yelled but his yelling was sent to deaf ears. Awww....
Just as Knuckles was booted out of class, Sonic shouted out loud and dashed around the whole class like a crazy hedgehog. "MY PAPER!! IT'S RUINED! POLLUTED!!" he yelled waving his arms in the air. Shadow followed suit as he caught a sight of huge sentances written on his paper: I HATE MARIA!! Maria glared at Shadow after she looked at Shadow's paper. She screamed painfully and rushed out of class, weeping. "M-A-R-I-A!!! N-O!!!" Shadow said in s-l-o-w-m-o-t-i-o-n...
Soon, the whole class was in havoc. Manic was fuming at Meczy as they glared at each other. Rouge stormed out of the classroom. Amy----Smiling Happily?? For on her paper was written: I like you Amy--By Sonic. She hugged the paper tightly, not noticing the chaotic situation her class was in and by her feet laid an innocent blue pen. She picked it up before anyone could step on it and went on with her merry way.
The school bell rang, noting that it was time for recess. Unlike every other day, everyone stormed to the cafeteria with gloomy faces. The atmosphere was filled with anger and hatred towards each other! (Muahahahahahahah!) Only a small spot in the atmosphere was happy sunshine--which was Amy's atmosphere. She strolled along to the canteen; not noticing her shiny blue pen skidding across the smooth cafeteria floor before her.
As soon as Amy sat down, she found a note on her table. It said would you sit with me for lunch now? Her blue pen was next to it. Amy was overjoyed as she put the pen back into her bag....well..at least she was until...she continued to read it... it said from: Knuckles! (horror music plays!) Amy gasped. At that same moment, she heard someone else gasp too. She turned around and saw-------(horror music plays again)--- ROUGE!
Rouge was staring at the paper with cold eyes while Amy was looking at Rouge's horror-stricken face. Rouge tore her eyes away from the paper as she heard Knuckles sneakers squeaking on the smooth canteen floor. She glared at his dumb echidna face with angry eyes. Knuckles stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Rouge's flaming eyes. "Err, are you sick Rouge? I mean you're eyes have gone all.....red..." Knuckles questioned. (Amy gave an anime fall) Rouge took the note on Amy's table and shoved it in front of Knuckles' face. Knuckles looked at it. He blinked once. Then twice.
He looked at Rouge with a pitiful expression. "You know, I can't read it considering you crumpled half the paper..." Knuckles pointed out. Rouge and Amy gave an anime fall! Rouge then glared at him and read it out loud, "Amy, would you sit with me for lunch now? From: Knuckles!" Knuckles gaped. "B-B-But I didn't write that!" Knuckles sputtered, his hands waving in the air. "Lame excuse. It's even your handwriting!" Rouge yelled as she pointed at the innocent piece of paper that was half crumpled by Rouge.
Knuckles shook his head vigorously. "I didn't do it! It-it might be Jaleal!" Knuckles said while pointing an accusing finger at Jaleal. Jaleal blinked with a questioned look on his face,"Me...?" "Yes you!" Knuckles said uneasily. He edged towards Jaleal and muttered,"C'mon! Just say: 'I did it!'" Jaleal shrugged and said, "He did it!" Knuckles gave an anime fall!
Knuckles whispered,"No Jaleal! Say 'I did it!'"
Jaleal said aloud,"Knuckles did it!"
"NO! It's 'I did it!"
"He did it"
"NOOOO! say: I did it!"
"You did it?""No more lying!" Rouge finally ended the chaotic conversation between the brothers. Knuckle whimpered and edged to a corner,"Oh no..now she REALLY thinks I did it! But I didn't!" He wished the ground would swallow him rite now! (though he could dig into the ground instead. Fool!) Rouge gave Knuckles an icy stare before turning around and storming off, bringing the note with her."Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! R-O-U-G-E!!!!" Knuckles yelled in a slow-motion way, doing a matrix glide to chase after her.
Sonia smirked as she saw a gloomy Rouge walk out of the cafeteria. "What's the matter? Bad hair day?" Sonia asked. "Look who's talking, whadabout you?" Rouge asked, pointing at Sonia's puffy hair. "My hair is perfect! You don't even have much hair! Hello!!" Sonia shot. "Hello youself! Cotton candy!" Rouge shot back.
"Old white hair hag!"
"Cotton Candy!"
"Hag!"
"Pink haired wierdo!"
"White freak!""Listen up and listen good! I have no time for your impudence! Take a look at this!" Rouge snapped. She handed Sonia the crumpled note. Sonia made a face and said, "I can't read it, it's mushed up.." Rouge sighed and read it aloud for Sonia. Sonia gasped. They both said the same thing together---"Traitor Knuckles!" They then saw Knuckles gliding towards them. They both ran in different directions. Knuckles stopped in mid-air and landed smoothly on the ground with a sad face.
"Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Sonia!!!!!!!! Rouge!!!!!!!"
Little did anyone notice Manic stealing the small blue pen. "This is beautiful! I bet I could get quite a sum for this!" he said to himself as he tucked it safely into his pouch. Just before Manic could take another step further, a figure blocked his way. "Excuse me," Manic said, shoving the person aside. "Look who's talking thief!" Meczy shot back. Manic looked up and saw his favourite companion glaring at him.
But this time her eyes looked different. There was a hint of grey, black and white mixed. Her eyes were normally blue. She shot him a dirty look,"You never told me you were a thief!" "Yes I did! Long time ago!" Manic replied. Meczy gave him an insane smile before telling him,"You did? You know what? I alwas hated thieves. Hehehe..tha's right..and I have a big aim to KILL thieves!"
Manic stepped back and broke into a run. Maczy hot on his tail, laughing maniacly with a whip in her left hand. "You can hide, but you can't run! Hahahaha!!!!!" This time her voice was hollow and high-pitched.
BANG! Manic accidently smacked against Sonia and Sonic. "Ouch, hey bro, whassup?" Sonic asked casually. Sonia ws complaining about Knuckles again but Manic didn't have time to hear about this."She's after me!" he choked. "Who?" Sonic asked. "What?" Manic asked back. He was too shakn to hear anything.
"Who?"
"What?"
"Who?"
"What?"Just then, Meczy came running maniacly cracking the whip round her. "Whoa! Mondo trouble! Look like she's mental!" Sonic exclaimed. Sonia looked up to see Meczy's insane face,"Aaah! She IS Mental! Sonic! Run!" Sonic sped off without them. "NO! I MEAN WITH US TOO!" Sonia screamed. Sonic came back and picked them both up before speeding off, "I knew that!"
While Sonic was running, the pen dropped out of Manic's pouch. He was too far away from Meczy to see her stopping dead in her tracks and asking herself stupid questions like "Why am I holding a whip?".
RIIIING!!!!! Time to get back to class for the next examination paper!
Everyone was shivering in their seats as they each got their test paper. They looked at it. Hard... Lara-Lee whipped out a gun, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1!"
BANG! She made a big hole in the wall... "Awww, and I just patched the last hole!" Manic muttered.
"Start NOW!"Everyone had serious faces, struggling on finding the answers for their test papers. Tick tock tick tock...time flied..."Right, hand over those papers NOW!" Lara-Lee ordered. As soon as she got the last batch of test papers, she began marking, one by one... everyone stared at Lara-Lee to see her reaction. Soon, Lara-Lee had finish marking them all...
"I'm shocked," Lara-Lee said fiercely. Everyone lowered their heads. "You all passed!! Even Knuckles! This is terribly amazing!" Lara-Lee continued with a sigh. Everyone cheered happily until Lara-Lee held her hand in the air. "Hold it! Uhm..I gave out the wrong test papers! These are for University students! Whoopsie, looks like you have to do the real one later.." Lara-Lee announced with a happy smile. Everyone groaned unhappily.
"After all our hard work..." Sonic sighed.
"Wasted!!" Amy cried.
"Dude, and I was like thiiis close!" Manic muttered.
The class was filled with angry complaints.Tick tock......

Lara-Lee walked out of the class to get a drink after she finished marking the papers. The students were all worn out, sleeping on their desks, not noticing a beautiful blue pen sliding on the class' floor. It hopped on the teacher's desk and started scribbling...-Soon-
"Attention class!!! I will hand out your papers now!!!" Lara-Lee yelled out loud as if she was a football refree or sumthin'.
Manic's jaw hung,"A- for Math??? Argh! There goes my reputation!"
Sonic moaned,"C+?"
Sonia shrieked,"B+!! NO!!!"
Shadow muttered,"C? Hmm..not bad.."
Meczy stared at the paper as if it looked so fascinating,"B-? I never actually got a B-..."Knuckles yelled happily bouncing up and down,"I got it! I got it! I got an E-!! I never got an E before! I always got an F! YAY!" Everyone stared at Knuckles who was happily jumping up and down. Knuckles stopped, "What?"
Just then, Queen Aleena stepped into the class. She had a very stern look on her face. "Everyone sit down! No talking! No bending down! No nothing! Just sit and get ready for your exams! I would be subsituting Athair for today!" Everyone sat in their seats as if they were in scouts or something. :P
As soon as everyone began on their papers, Queen Aleena sat down, her eyes darted across the room just to make sure no one was doing anything but answering their exam papers. Her sharp ear suddenly pricked up a small skidding sound in the room. She looked around like a tiger looking for a prey. She saw a blue pen skidding across the white tiled floor. She wouldn't believe it, she pinched herself hard--it's still skidding on the floor ever so smoothly and freely.
"G-G-GHOST!!!!!! A GHOST PEN!!!" Queen Aleena screamed insanely. The pen dropped dead on the floor instantly. Everyone turned their attention towards the pen. Just an ordinary blue pen. Queen Aleena screamed insanely and ran out of the classroom. Everyone blinked. Typical. They thought. Must've been her strictness that made her imagine the pen moving around. Creepy.
Then the Oracle came in the class. "Back to your papers. Queen Aleena's just suffering from air ciculation problems now ever since she saw a pen 'moving'." he said casually and took his seat. Manic, Sonic and Sonia gave each other a scared look. Would their mom be ok? Oh well. Who cares, exams more important.
Once more, no one noticed a shiny blue pen stand up again and sliding on the floor towards the teacher's desk. The Oracle (Who has super powers as you know) looked at the pen's direction sharply. The pen was sliding as if it were in heaven.
So Aleena was right! He thought. He sent mind messgaes to everyone about the pen. Almost instantly, everyone looked at the pen. The pen wasn't noticing anything and started to scribble on Knuckles' test paper. Everyone kept staring at it.
"STUPID PEN!" Knuckles yelled, slamming his fist right next to the pen which broke the whole desk.
"CHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAARRGGGEE!!!!!!"Everyone jumped after the pen!
~After a couple if minutes...~
Everyone gathered in the hall. "This pen! Had killed our test papers! This pen! Had killed our relationships. This pen!" Manic announced on stage. Every student was burning with hatred towards the pen. "OH! There you are you imbecilic pen!" Dr.Robotnick said aloud. Everyone turned their attention towards "Nickky" immediately. "Ehehehe.....oops?"
"CHHHHHHHHAAAAAAARRGGGEE!!!!!!!"
They jumped on Dr.Robotnick and bounded him! Nyahahahahahaah!!!They then smashed the pen to pieces. Then---they decided on what should Robotnick do as punishment....(happy song plays)
