Edmund and Lucy are staying with the family of their disagreeable cousin, Eustace Scrubb, when all three children are drawn into Narnia by way of a picture in Lucy's room. They find themselves on the Dawn Treader, King Caspian's ship, sailing out on the Eastern Sea. King Caspian has embarked on a quest to find seven Lords of Narnia whom his usurping uncle Miraz had sent off to explore the Eastern Seas beyond the Lone Islands. They also hope to sail far enough reach the easterm end of the world, which is the Talking mouse Reepicheep's lifelong dream. On the way Eustace has an encounter with the great Lion, Aslan, and the companions and the crew of the Dawn Treader have countless adventures on their journey to the end of the world -- all under the watchful guidance and care of Aslan. . . . |
