WICCAN TOOLS

                     Wand-This is one of the most used magickal tools. It is used to invoke the
                               Goddess and the God, and to direct energy. Some traditional woods for the
                               wand are: Oak, Willow and Cherry. If you can't afford and expensive one
                              any fairyly long stick will do fine, just remember not to cut your wand off
                              a tree, make sure it is already on the ground! The want represents the
                              element of Air, and is sacred to the Goddess and the God.

                        Cauldron-The cauldron is surrounded by magickal tradition, everyone has
                              grown up seeing the crone stirring her cauldron. The cauldron can be used
                              for many different reasons, for scrying, and mixing potions, and performing
                              many different spells. Cauldron's are usually made of Iron and are a symbol
                              of the Goddess, the essence of femininity and fertility. The cauldron
                              represents the element of Water.

                            Broom-The broom is sacred to both the Goddess and the God. It is usually
                              at the beginning of rituals to ceremonially cleanse the area by sweeping
                              away the negative energy. Magick brooms can be either bought or made, the
                              broom represents the element of Water.

                           Athame-This is usually a dull double edged knife, the handle is usually black
                           so as to absorb energy. The athame is not used for cutting but directing
                           energy when doing a spell. The athame is associated with the God and the
                           element of  Fire.

                        Boline-This is a white handled knife used to cut herbs, wands and for carving
                              symbols or runes.

                            Cup or Chalice-This does not have to be fancy, any cup on a stem with do. It
                               symbolizes the Goddess and is related to the element of Water. The cup can
                               be used to hold water or ritual beverages.

                            Morter and Pestle-This is used to grind herbs and seeds for your spells.

                            Wood or Ceramic Bowl-Used for enchanting herbs.

                             Glass or Enamel Pot-Used for infusions or brewing potions.

                             Charcoal Blocks-For burning incense.

                     Jars-For storing herbs.

                             Pentacle-The pentacle is used for protection and to invoke spirits. It
                                 represents the element of Earth.
