I so seldom have any time to do just nothing, with all of the activities, jobs, and writing I do. It's hectic. I do not get enough of a chance to meet new people, so I value the new friends I make, even better guys who say hi in a friendly way but don't push too fast right away. I do not get much time to socialize outside the gym, where I have made many wonderful friends in my fellow gymnasts and coaches. I follow the Navy Seals routine, when I can. It's tough, but I like it. I never expect anyone else to have to do the same thing just cause I like it.

I like people who have an active lifestyle but can enjoy time at home. Strong, thoughtful but can you be funny and dark and sexy, and also still innocent and sweet with me too sometimes? Integrity, a sense of comraderie. I don't know. I like more than one type, and I can't stand that "typing" thing.

Passions: I love gymnastics, Russian-style and some of the Japanese greats. People (fellow students and students of mine) used to say I had the same cat-like style as Boguinskaya, the Belorussian swan, also called the diva of gymnastics and Queen of the beam. (I was really surprised, but thank you!) We look nothing alike, except that we have the same body type, tall, capitalizing on grace. This makes it slightly harder, but hard work pays off. I love gymnastics--I am a perfectionist about form and grace. It's loads of fun to teach to children, and you know you are making a good difference in young lives. Since I love my sport so much, I understand the sport "dedication". I would go to a hockey or baseball game, but I also like guys who aren't into team sports, who might watch tennis or swimming. Or even karate and kung fu. I would play touch football the same as you if I could in the cold winter and want to laugh when I go down.

A lot of things are interesting in the world at the right time and with the right people. Up to a Sunday afternoon of power frisbee and a drive over town? Then maybe just sitting on the porch together doing nothing but listening to the traffic and the city lights.

I also love ballet, mostly la Bayadere (My ambition would be to dance Nikiya/Nikia anything like Nadezhda Gracheva) and Swan Lake. I love ballet, but not going to the ballet. I prefer time dancing on my own, in the gym or studio. I also like modern ballet, without toe shoes, and hot, fast dancing. Not lewd, just fast. Something classy (at least that's the idea).

Gracheva site, as Nikia in the middle photograph

I would definitely go to a Bolshoi if I ever go to Russia.

Running is my sweet addiction. I used to live on the lakeshore in Chicago, where the runners get our early.
I wake up even in the hot sticky summer at 4:30 most mornings to go running for about 45 minutes--pain at first, later a hot shower ahh! After, I have plenty of time to write prior to going to teach and train gymnastics.
My ambition now is to get more voice-acting work with my demo CD, to augment my gymnastics coaching.

I love writing. I am a writer, and in the style of ethereal Tolkien and daredevil high-speed Top Gun, Days of Thunder. I've read a lot of Russian, Classic, French, and British novelists, and classic thinkers-- there are undertones of Aristotle you might not notice. My work is quality. I like to keep visceral and powerful images in it--for the people who like aerospace jockeys and dreamers!!! Something also with dark fairy tales, celestial angels (how about ancient or Eastern philosophy) and vampyres (not a lot, in the classic sense, like Peter Cushing). Gods and goddesses among men, vying for power over destiny. Loners, men of great depth, character, and worth.

I can appreciate spoofs, but I tend to write stuff that is dark, primal, understated, trying to be excellent, & you know it when you've finally got it there. I studied hundreds of books-ah! It may seem 'too much', but I believe in and aspire to be quality. It keeps my mind, body, and soul stimulated, tender passion, wild and courageous, the test of human limits, a sense of soaring high in fascination for what might be, the not-so-unattainable if we dare. The best is coming up with something that captures the human spirit and sense of imagination, wonder, elation and glory.

It has been hard learning hard lessons over the years, and readjusting my values and ideas about what is important. I am glad to say my family and friends have taught me a lot about how to appreciate others more.

When I worked at Marymount, a New York Times writer said my work was brilliant, excellent. At the time, it was a lean market. I still work towards the day when I can start signing autographs. How thankful I know I would be, and what I would hope to have the grace to remain. I only hope that my course in life directs me to people I can appreciate and enjoy for all of their wonderful qualities.

I worked at the MMCE Writing Center at Marymount Manhattan only a short time, --I was younger than some of the students, and got not enough out of it because I was so young and raw. (And to be honest, many of the men I met didn't give me a fair chance at a glance).

Most of all, I might want to meet someone who changes my view on the world in a positive way. It would be nice to have that chance one day.

Some movies I love: Gladiator, Braveheart, all of The Lord of the Rings, Cleopatra, Moulin Rouge, X-Men, X-2, Star Wars, Ladyhawke, Spartacus, Helen of Troy, The Man in The Moon.

Movies I like: The Natural, Austin Powers, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Hunt for Red October, Dr. Zhivago, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Rudy, Anne of the Thousand Days, L.A. Confidential, Far and Away, The Highlander, Jurassic Park, Dangerous Beauty, Dangerous Liaisons, Amadeus, Cool Hand Luke, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Power of One, Gone with the Wind, Superman, Batman Returns, Robin and Marian, Interview with the Vampire, The Princess Bride, The Mask of Zorro, The End of the Affair, American Beauty, Mission: Impossible II, Jerry Maguire, Immortal Beloved, Spider-Man, Grease & Grease 2, Top Gun, Witness, and sweet Rankin Bass Christmas specials, like Jack Frost and the Island of Christmas Toys. I like some Japanese animation, but mostly the older productions.

I liked "Splash" when I was a kid, and other things like "The Last Unicorn", "Sea Prince and the Fire Child", and the older 1979 "Little Mermaid".
I like things like "Aliens", "Snatch", and "The Matrix". I even enjoyed "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider". I had two copies of "Terminator" for a while. I also like a lot of English drama, like on A & E. Anything passionate, intelligent, adventurous, funny--like Pride and Prejudice, Tess, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, I, Claudius, and Horatio Hornblower.

For comedies, I like Adam Sandler, and "Wayne's World", a classic, with guy friends. I laughed at "Bruce Almighty". "Back to the Future" and the "Crocodile Dundee" movies were great. And I really liked "Lost and Found" with David Spade. I also like "While you were Sleeping".

favorite idols:

I love reading stories about Greek myths. My mom went on a year-long adventure to Europe on a cargo ship, and spent time in the Greek islands and in Cairo or Alexandria. We grew up with some Greek and French in our household, and some Dutch language. My Dad was always making trips to Indonesia and Asia and to Scandinavia. We spent many summers and even winter in Scotland (and England). Anyway, I am still interested in Greek myths and fairy tales.

My female screen idols (I pretended to be sometimes, subconsciously): Michelle Pfeiffer since I was 10. In Ladyhawke and Batman Returns.
Catherine Mc Cormack, as Murron, that was also my great-gran's name, and we used to climb up Wallace's monument.
Nicole Kidman.
Milla Jovovich, I used to watch her films when I was young. Silly film "Return to the Blue Lagoon".
A male suitor I once had said I have the same eyes as Jennifer Love Hewitt, and I still get that at times. I'm not really a fan, though.

Sophie Marceau, the Queen in Braveheart. We got French lessons as children, so I probably imitated her a little every time we watch her on television. It's one of my favorite impersonations.
Natassja Kinski. When I was little, I watched this old film "Cat People"--it wasn't as good as you might think, but it makes a scary impression, and "Tess". I watched vampyre films sometimes about 4-6 when the t.v. got left on, and then I used to go to sleep with the covers pulled up to my neck.
Nicolette Sheridan. She's British.
Connie Nielsen in Gladiator. I like her style & Scandinavian import stores. It reminds me of some Scottish things. (My gran's maiden name was Nielsen.)
Catherine Zeta-Jones. My last boyfriend had a thing for her, in Entrapment (we went to the castle a couple of years ago, on the Isle of Mull), so he was always saying I should try to dress more like her. My sister spent a month hand-sewing a Arwen dress for a NY costume party at Halloween. She had me help a little, it was amazing. We loved the elves in the Lord of the Rings.

I hardly ever buy female magazines, but occasionally I like the high quality fashion magazines, like Elle and Cosmopolitan.

I really prefer reading good novels. Russian novels. I can read anything really exciting.

In personality I sometimes emulate Claudia Schiffer, cause she has a strong, confident attitude and no one messes with her.

I love icy cool, grey-misty, dewy type of weather. It reminds me of Paris. Winter wonderland. Sun on the wheat fields.

I have lots of acceptable nicknames. Ice princess is not particularly flattering, but all right. Dad calls me Dougall. I love him.

I laugh at people when they try to say negative things to me, because it's bad enough in a city where you get your knocks without others trying to contribute. Regardless of how wonderful you might strive to be, or God gives you gifts to cherish, or how lovely you might be on the inside, thanks to God, a good upbringing, and the privilege of these things.

I still prefer just walking on my own in the moonlight and looking at fireflies. I like hiking up the precipice peak. I love storms, even the rain. I still skip in rain puddles and raked fall leaves.

Guys I find attractive: Gordon Thomson, Haydn Christiansen, Dmitri Bilozerchev, Ewan McGregor. Also, though less: Russell Crowe, Rufus Sewell, Bon Jovi, Viggo Mortensen, Karl Urban, Val Kilmer, Tom Welling, Guy Pearce, Hugh Jackman, Sean Bean, Ray Liotta, guys who are great personalities, even clever and brilliant, lots of heart and soul, even dark but not dangerous. Younger and older, seldom just my age. Singers, too. Can't remember now.

I love Europe, Australia, Scandinavia, New Zealand and the UK. And the Swiss Alps. I love the Swiss Alps. France is all right, never been to the Greek isles, would be nice. Spain, maybe, never been there. Italians are great, too, but I haven't got much experience with them.

Favorite sport stars you've never heard of: *Dmitri Bilozerchev, *Katia Gordeeva, Dina Kochetkova, Nadia Comaneci '76 (before my time). *Nadezhda Gracheva, Tatiana Gutsu, and *Svetlana Boguinskaya. I like the Russians because they have the most balletic but hard, precise style.

All of this information makes it easier for my friends not to buy me gifts. I finally just had to do it when I realized it would be easier to remember what I liked if I could write it down. I always seem to remember what people like, whom I love and care about, at just the right time.

I love to do nice things for other people, just to brighten their day. It's nice when I have the precious time to do this, to be this way. I know it is a privilege, since I have more time to spend than other people do doing things for each other. I know it's much easier when things are going well. That's what I'm striving for.

My favorite colors are purple or lilac, grey, blue, and black or green. I also like silver, platinum, ice blue, and sky blue.

Favorite flavors: Raspberry, blackberry, blueberry. (Wild berries.) Mint, ginger, and licorite.

I like Dark Chocolate coated Blueberries.

Favorite textures: satin and velvet, then silk.

Favorite gemstones: blue star sapphires.

My favorite flowers are irises, stirling roses (lilac), wild pink roses, and violets. I also like wild thistles and bluebells, baby blue flowers, asters, and purple orchids. Baby yellow roses sometimes. Silver white birches are my favorite trees, but I love the sylvan woods up east, and maple forests, oaks, hawthorns, beech, hazelnuts, chestnuts, and sycamores. The dark Black Forest was cool.

I'm not really interested in preparing food in the day-to-day, since I do a lot of ballet, running, and gymnastics training, and I usually live on vegetables and chicken, but gourmet cooking is sort of a hobby. I like to cook for people once a week, on week-ends.

I love fun in the mornings with other people.
I am an Ice Queen sometimes, but not reforming. I love blueberry snowcones and snowberry colored candy (foreign).
I like meat, but only really white chicken, lamb and crab.
I love vegetables like French green beans, cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, water chesnuts (sometimes) , brocolli (sometimes) and celery. Beans, chives, and tiny mandarin oranges with wild bluberries.
I love blue cheese, fat-free swiss. Swedish chocolate cheese and thin rye crackers.

I haven't eaten nuts in years, but I love hazelnuts and cashews. I always have hazelnut coffee.

I love cayenne, nutmeg, thyme, sage, cardamom, ginger, and sometimes fines herbes and garlic. Sometimes cinnamon. My favorite drinks: coffee, lots of it. And Diet beverages. Coke, sprite, pepsi, royal crown, mountain dew. Crystal Light.

I'm allergic to milk and dairy foods, (and bananas just slightly, but I like them sometimes anyway) so that's sort of important to mention to people who do not know me. I never eat pork, not because I can't but because I just don't like it. It's too greasy, and I do not like eating more intelligent animals. It doesn't bother me that other people eat it.

When I was young, I was also allergic to eggs, so I hardly ever ate mayonnaise. Instead I used mustard or catsup. Now, I like light omelettes and fluffly eggs at breakfast with bell peppers and a little cheese.

I am also intolerant to wheat, so I do not eat much starch, but I like it sometimes anyway! I prefer rice (I like cocoa rice crispies and rice crispies), dark rye, oats, and popcorn. I only eat corn(bread) at Thanksgiving. I saw once blue corn chips somewhere.
favorite cuisines: I prefer mostly salad, green beans, and steamed beets & greens, some meat to go with it. Cheetos crunchy, can't eat too many. Thin honey-mustard pretzels. When you can't tolerate a lot of starch, you just really enjoy it when you get it.

Persian lamb kebobs, Japanese chicken kebobs (teriyaki).

Strange things I've tried: sweet black bean slice and moon cakes, Sushi, Chinese garlic-ginger chicken and sweet white rice, Tuscan bean soup, Barbecue chicken, German gingerbread, Russian-style vegetable beet stew & black bread, chicken chili, Salmon mousse, ocean spray lite wildberry juice, Swiss Alpen muesli, Bob's Scottish oatmeal and rybena, Greek cucumber-mint salad, Scandinavian cardamom coffee, Italian meatballs with garlic, thyme, and rosemary, tripoli Danish sugar ice candy canes, and fresh sea food with marinara dressing. Boston clam chowder, and northeastern maple candy. Italian cream cake, Tiramisu, decadent white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and a sprig of mint. I used to share dinner with my boyfriend.

I like to try different things, but I usually stick to light meat and vegetables. I love soda. French and Italian sodas are great.
I can cook like a chef, so people like me to make things. I do mostly savory stuff, like foreign food but I can bake nearly anything. (I love to surprise people I know will like it!) French savories and Sachertorte. I make British fairy cakes and rum chocolate balls, Scottish sweeties, candy cane cookies, white divinity, elf cookies, and fudge at the holidays. I love the holidays!
Candy is not an option for me usually. I went for 10 years without it. When I get it, I like to share. I actually love junior mints and berry fondant creams.

Other kinds I like: Thin After Eight mints, Kit kats, nestle crunch, Norweigan licorice and British candy called Mighty Imps, Sea Foam, raspberry ginger lemon Edinburgh Rock. Raspberries and blackberries. Lindt chocolate (sssh). Dark Raspberry, violet, and rose creams at Thornton's. On the silly side, I like mini Swedish fish, jelly rats, and blue-raspberry candy that turns your mouth blue. Huge gumballs, small cinnamon fireballs or imperials.
Desserts: berries and cream. Once a year I have something decadent like white chocolate raspberry Godiva mousse, kiwi-strawberry meringue called Pavlova, or French silk dark chocolate mousse.

Wine: Blackberry Merlot.

I enjoy making things for a party. Drinks are not my forte, but I love to watch people come up with them. I make homemade brandied eggnog every year. It's fun to drink and stay up with friends you can trust.)

In Scotland, I love thistles, the morning mists on the highlands, dark forests and silver lochs, fresh wildflowers, wild pink roses and sterling roses, blue hydrangeas and chestnut trees, wild berries in summer, the sun on the sea, seagulls, Braveheart, and everything about Scotland. Scary stuff before the 1300's. Hiking and pub-crawling, bad Scottish telly and day-trips to the highlands.

I love hiking, and the glorious outdoors, usually where the weather is cool and bright. I love the rain. I like the land green as an emerald, untamed and free, and wildflowers that smell like honey. I mean I went 8 hours up a trek on the Isle of Skye, where there was a lonely little loch and 18th centurey farmhouse and no one else for miles. They call those hills the black hills--in Scottish it's "Cuillin Hills". I do not like camping as much as hiking, though, so I always bring spare toilet tissue (or else I look for a bush of ferns) and a bottle of water... No man yet has been known to outlast me. I'm like the Energizer bunny. I sit on the loch half-way up and enjoy the view for a while. One of these days I'm going to climb to the top of one of the hills in the Highlands like my Dad and drink a beer at the top!

I like the wind and sunny summer days that aren't too hot. I might want to visit Hawaii, Alaska, the Swiss Alps, Aruba, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Northwest. I liked San Francisco. I like watching thunderstorms in the fall. I don't mind the freezing cold, or the heat, as long as I've got plenty of ice-water. My friend in Kenya invited me on a safari, but she warns me it can be dangerous. I would love to see the animals. Cheetahs are my favorite. (But I still sleep with an Eeyore. )
Do not get me wrong, I like reading interesting books. I'm not a t.v. watcher, much. But I like renting great flicks and sitting up late.

When I'm reading on a rainy day, I like Tolkien, Roman history, ancient histories, and things that are cool and exciting in the way I liked as a kid--like that feeling early Christmas morning. I even like supernatural stories and other mythology. I also like modern things of all kinds, especially if the person who shows it to me really has a passion for it. This includes all kind of science and archaeology, comic books, car magazines, etc. I can be intrigued by someone's interest in something I've never seen.

* * * * *

I love my friends and family, even though none of us are at all like each other and do not choose to be. I think we should appreciate people for who they are and want to be, when we can. Dare to love people for what they are willing to show you. If you find yourself changing, it might be for a good reason, but never forget who you want and choose to be.

To me, it's important to love doing things with people when you have time. It would be great if ordinary stuff like supermarket shopping and chores and all sorts of things were actually fun, or something you do on a quiet rainy day. I mean, since you have to do it. I like gourmet and import stores, just out of curiosity and wow, look at that design, isn't it fascinating? I love the fashion district and a sense of adventure about what might be out there for us all to try together. To find someone who might understand, the need to achieve and yet the capacity to enjoy, might be a gift. Never tame someone else.

I understand that when we've all got important things to do, we might need to focus on our own things at times and be left alone. We might need blinders at times to achieve what we are doing. I think a balanced life is the best--where you can really get stuff done sometimes, and other times you can have fun without any interference or hang-ups. I am a high-energy person, so occasionally I love to go on wild moonlight rides or something absolutely fun and adventurous (long as it's with people I can trust), music and to just chat without reservation about what you like. Other times I do things alone. I love walks through the forest on my own, and I love flowers in the spring. I like deep dark woods only when I know there's no one around. My Dad and I go to the woods in Scotland, when we go to his home there, and explore old castles where the wind reflects any noise. Relaxation to me is more often a sense of wonderment, anticipation, or that great feeling you have when it's quiet and windy. I like to sit after I've been active all day, and drink a cup of tea with my grandfather and watch Time-Raiders. Sometimes, I like to get cozy in the bed with a book, or watch t.v. in bed, but I like to enjoy it with a shiver in cool weather and how comfy that blanket is going to be--aahhh--thunderstorms are even better weather for this.

* * * * *

I seldom do the talking. I hope I can find people in my life who share the same sense about life.

As far as friends go, I love going out to movies in groups. I like younger and older people with a young or timeless outlook on life, and people who have character and insight. People with a sense of depth, love, and tender passion, that might not show, never giving in to a label. Silly at times and getting younger every year, we are all still here together in life.) I love elegant dining, and at other times, to play simple games and have fun together.

I love grilling on a cold spring day, and dancing, laughter, and fresh lemonade. I love to play exciting outdoor sports with guys, especially when they explain how to, and I'm not afraid to learn. I like hanging around people I really like one-on-one so that no one is around, and we don't have to put on our best behavior, and then we can say whatever comes to mind without other people laughing at something special. I love running together, and I might lie in a hammock in the sun with my guy for hours if I could--ahh, how ecstatic it can be in that refreshing breeze and the waves of the ocean.

I like us all to play at the beach, and wading, watching happy people swim and children playing with sand castles. Once in Scotland I went to a water-hole near Inverness and swung on a tire that hung over the water. I enjoyed the Redwood Forest and San Francisco--riding the cable cars. I still climb trees for no reason and swing on swings at the playground. I love the idea of a cliffside drive in a convertible with the wind blowing. I like to play tennis and racquetball with guys (I hang out with guys a lot more than women). I love pic-nics, and I like the idea of going to the beach and swimming with good friends. I think amusement parks are great fun still.

I can be proper in company. I was taught European table manners, but I don't like being criticized for lack of them at home when I'm busy. I can dress well and behave with decorum, but I prefer to wear sneakers and shorts.

I love animals, especially wild cats. When I was ten, I got recruited to join a nature center, where this conservation specialist had a pet mountain lion he let us pet. He also had been hired to take care of a baby Bengal tiger, that we got to look at. I don't like them as much. About the same time, I used to watch a lot of nature shows on the public channel, mostly about animals and ancient civilizations lost in time, like the Mayans and the Egyptian sphinx and Roman cities, about wild cheetahs and their prey. I didn't like the hyenas. I liked the zebras. People are always talking about the small bobcats that prowl about our place.

My favorite cats are the cheetah, the ocelot, small cats, the bobcat, lynx, and puma.

I once had an idea to work at a nature center or wildlife preservation park.

I also like ferrets (people keep them as pets!!).

When I was 10, I went on a "crusade" to save the baby harp seals.

For pets, I like Siamese cats and bunny rabbits (but I probably wouldn't keep one). I like coyotes and wolves and sea horses (in paintings and art). Burros are adorable (especially Eeyore). I used to feed the burros when I was 4-9 in Scotland. Burros are the only farm animals I really alike, except maybe roosters.

I was given a book on birds at age 9. I love sparrows, sparrowhawks, crowes, golden eagles, merlins, rock pipits, swifts, peregrine falcons, nightengales, purple sandpipers, the phoenix, ravens, thunderbirds, black cranes, the mistle thrush, kittiwake sea gulls, love birds, wild mute swans, and starlings. I like the mythical phoenix. A few other birds might be nice to watch on occasion--when I was little I liked puffins and little blue herons. People also used to call me stork legs!! Ahhh! I like wild white horses, but I'm not really into horses as much as other wild animals. Mountain goats (like they have in Greece). I love animals, but pretty much only the animals I have listed here.

I like reptiles, newts, and maybe dragons. I am not really fond of dinosaurs. I am not afraid of mice or spiders. We have wolf spiders sometimes where we used to live. I absolutely adore fireflies.

I love other bugs. Crickets, grasshoppers, aphids, the preying mantis, and millipedes.

I am a cat person, and allergic to dogs. But my parents used to have a sweet dog, that I loved, named Abbie. I called her "my little bea", but she died more than 5 years ago. I couldn't spend much time with her, but I loved her a lot!

* * * * *

I like to play music. I play three instruments, two of them not so well at all because I only know three or four songs. But there's always hope. I sing much better. Once upon a time, in college, I joined a rock band, but I couldn't play the guitar well enough.

* * * * *

This is a long list 'cause I love music. All kinds, but not much rap or country or classical. (Some classical is fantastic, though. Like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Saint Saiens "The Swan", and Holst:The Planets, Jupiter, about half-way through. When classical is really good, I love it. Also Beethoven: such as Moonlight Sonata. Albinoni's Giazatto. )

I love modern rock most of all, groups like Creed, Life House (esp "Sick Cycle Carousel", Weezer, BNL, Blink182, No Doubt, some Dave Matthews Band and Tonic, Good Charlotte, Shakira, Wallflowers, Hootie and the Blowfish, the Goo Goo Dolls, New Found Glory, Maroon 5, Simple Plan, Dashboard Confessional, Evan and Jaron's "Crazy for the Girl", Semisonic, and Shades Apart's "Stranger by the Day".

I love movie sound tracks, like from Gladiator, Braveheart, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars 2, and Lord of the Rings. I like some hip-hop, and I also like some instrumental jazz, when I'm cooking in the kitchen. I like Rod Stewart and Frank Sinatra had some good ones.

I like heavy metal, but I never admit this to anyone conservative. I love Aerosmith, U2, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Bush, Springstein, and Buck Cherry. I like Hoobastank, and Godsmack somtimes.

Of oldies I like Def Leppard's "Photograph" and "You shook me all night long", some of The Scorpions and Poison, some Metallica, and Pearl Jam's "Jeremy". I like oldies like The Stones and Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride". I like some eighties songs, like Pat Benatar's "We Belong" the Pretenders' "I'll Stand by You" and "Human", Blondie's "Dreaming", "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield, and Billy Idol's "Dancin With Myself". I really like the Police, and Sting's "Fields of Gold".

When I was a kid, I used to listen to Billy Joel, but I forgot that until recently when I found an old tape lying around. I like the 60's music, like the Mama's and the Papa's "Dedicated to the One I Love" and some Beatles, like "Norweigan Wood, and even some things from the 70's--Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon", and "Sorceror", some Simon and Garfunkel, some ABBA like "The Name Of The Game" and "The Winner Takes It All," Van Morrison's "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Crazy Love", Kansas "Dust in the Wind". I don't know much about the blues.

* * * * *

TV and I: I miss it but I seldom watch it. I like the Simpsons, that 70's show, and I used to watch X-men and other cartoons (as a kid also some Japanese animation, Speed Racer and Jem.) I loved the mini-series "The Thornbirds". I like the history channel, aviation, but I don't watch too much mainstream stuff. Sometimes I like to sit and watch Law and Order. (& the Lost World, sssh) I used to watch some of the WB shows off and on, like "Charmed" and "Angel" and "Smallville". I have watched British soap operas, and Australian ones. I can catch an old 40's movie on Sunday afternoons and enjoy it. Depends on the subject, though. I do not mind watching sports if someone else is watching it--even better if I'm included in what's going on, maybe a few times a year? I guess I prefer being with people and going out to a film or dancing to watching television alone, unless it's a sappy or intense show I wouldn't want anyone else to know about!
