"The Amazing Purple Emu That Speaks Ebonics"

by the Blanks

When we last saw our heroes, they were flying away from a throng of incencsed plaid socks on a belch from that big hollow tree...

Part IV

They all woke up. A few moments later, everyone else followed suit, yawning and blinking. It really was a lovely day. Ali listened to the birds chirping their gay (happy) songs around her and smiled an Ali-smile. She looked at the birds flying past her head and smiled more. Ali looked up. The amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics was still on her head, but she didn't mind. It was a lovely day.

Mark looked around and said, "Dude."

Sara sat down. This is strange, she thought, I'm not sitting on anything! She looked down. Immediately, Sara stood up. Sara fell down. She plummeted to the earth, miles below.

Ali frowned.

"Don't be lookin' down, foo!" exclaimed the amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics. "You be fallin' down too!"

Mark looked down.

"Duuuuuuuuuude...!"

"Bloody twit!" emanated from the midsection of the amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics.

"See what I'se been sayin'? Now we gots to go after that foo'!"

They all looked down.

They all fell.

Ali smiled. She and the amazing purple emu who speaks ebonics were now alone...

"OK, time to die, you unamazing, not-purple, stupid bird that can talk!" screeched Ali.

"Not so fast," emanated from the midsection of the amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics. "You must help him find Da Stuff! Your life depends on it!"

"Ummm...." Ashamed, Ali looked down at her feet. In doing so, she also looked toward the ground and began to fall. The amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics on her head also fell, along with the not-so-amazing British fish in its stomach.

Once she arrived safely on the ground, Sara sat down and looked around. No one else was in sight. Sara supposed she would have to find them eventually, but sitting here was so lovely. Although it was getting a little warm...

Irritated, Sara stood up.

Slightly less irritated, Sara looked down.

Sara found that she was standing on a receipt named Joe.

The receipt said, "Hi, I'm Joe."

Joe was burning. Noticing this, Sara desisted standing on it. Joe burned up.

Mark landed. After several minutes he became aware that his hindquarters were in considerable pain. "Dude," he said.

Sara walked in.

Sara took her ritalin.

Mark said, "Dude."

Mark took her ritalin.

Sara left.

They all landed. They all got up. They all did something useful.

Ali got up. She glanced upward. She was surprised. She felt the top of her head to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. She was still surprised. The amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics wasn't on her head. Ali wasn't sure what to do now. She decided to jump for joy. She jumped. She hit her head on a low-hanging tree branch. It broke. The amazing purple emu that speaks ebonics tumbled from the broken tree branch to land on precisely the same spot on Ali's head that it had previously occupied. Ali landed. She said, "Ow."

Next time...

Will our heroes find each other again? Why did Mark take Sara's ritalin? What did they all do? Does anyone care?
