History:
Theros Battlehammer is the 33rd in line for the throne of Mithral
Hall. Born in the Icewind Dale, He was present when the dwarves
reclaimed
Mithral Hall. A cook by nature, he was out of the hall, gathering herbs
when he was set upon by a werewolf. He marveled at its ferocity and
power and as the werewolf was about to slay him with a mere swipe,
another
werewolf saved him.
This werewolf was the priestess Al'arii, a specialty priest of
Selune. Theros, enamored by the human werewolf, desired to become
one of the clergy of Selune. She was sent by the church to establish
diplomatic relations with the new dwarven kingdom. Al'arii taught him
many
things over
the span of three years. The two of them fell in love, but since he
is
a
dwarf and she a
human, it was a love that never could consumate in the place that they
were.
Then the
Time of Troubles came, the Drow invaded Mithral Hall and Al'arii was
critically wounded
by the maurauding drow. The drow were repulsed and as Al'arii lay
dying, she
charged Theros to go to his temple in Waterdeep and to petition to
the
high
priestess
that he should become a member of the Pack, a group of specialty
priests
who voluntarily become lycanthropes in order to further the causes
of
Selune.
Personality:
Theros is a happy go lucky carouser who loves to drink and get into
a good brawl. His passion is cooking, but his loyalty to his clan
has forced him to train as a fighter. He has cooked many a meal for
his king, Bruenor, and has even recieved compliments on his roasted
hare in firewine sauce. Ever since his fight with the werewolf and
his consequent meeting with Al'arii, he has become fascinated with
the idea of being one with the night as a lycanthrope and will do
all that he can to gain entry into the Pack. Bruenor has given Theros
leave to transmit the message back to the temple of Selune in
Waterdeep,
b/c as a ruler he wished to maintain diplomatic relations with all
good
creatures and deities and to give Theros time to mourn his love,
everyone
knew but didn't say anything about their relationship.
Friends:
Parents - slain during the Drow assault on Mithral Hall
Al'arii - Specialty Priest of Selune, slain during Drow assault on
Mithral Hall
Kaanin Battlehammer - older brother, battlerager, always found brother
to
be weak in his eyes. Especially
falling in love with a human woman.
Prodded him to go in order
to gain strength in the outside world,
also having a werewolf return
one day would be good for the family
name.
