Personality:
-----------
Kragar's smart, determined and has a disciplined mind. He's
considered friendly by most, but he generally doesn't speak
unless he believes there is something worth saying... otherwise,
it's nothing but wasted words that fill the air, unless in the
company of friends after the job is done.
He has a barbed wit, but it's not wise to make him mad. He
loves the feeling of a long day's work in the mines, with the
smell of the earth that he loves so much, surrounding him.
Courageous, but in a sometimes sutble way, he never takes the
most direct proach...resorting to unorthodox methods to win a
fight. He hates bigots and anyone who would terrorize/harm
someone smaller/weaker than themselves.
Kragar has been cited for his bravery, but his straightforward
nature has gotten into trouble when he spoke his mind. A realist,
Kragar has a strong sense of survival, but no one can say for
certain what will spur him into action. But once Kragar gives his
word, there's no chance of him quitting, until the mission is
done.
He wears two prize possessions given to him by his mother
before her death, a gold earring with a two carat diamond setting
and a platinum armband that has been passed down through 50
generations from Kragar Swiftaxe the First.
Kragar has a strong dislike for magic, and is uncomfortable
around the dwarves who insist on using the arcane arts. But
excels in the arts of warcraft, and mining.
He values his friends and will do anything to aid them if the
need arises. An individualist to the core, Kragar believes that
freedom is the most valueable gift of all.

Character History:
-----------------
Kragar lost his father when he was only a child to the drow,
he grew into a stout, strong young man and a spitting image of
his birth father.
During his childhood a dwarf by the name of Hundyll persued
his mother eventhough she was still in love with his father, even
after his death. But the dwarf persisted, being from a
high-ranking family, Hundyll always got whatever he wanted.
Over the next few years following his father's death, Kragar
watched as Hundyll wore his mother down, and eventually she
consented to marry him.
Hundyll have never trusted Hundyll, and was very careful not
to arouse his doubts. Kragar knew that his step-father would
cause trouble and that he would have to face the responsiblity for
dealing with him on his own.
Kragar was apprenticed to his father's friend who supervised
the mines and was a battle engineer for the army. The young dwarf
pursued the old dwarf's knowledge with surprising tenacity...growing
in skill, strength, and intelligence. He came to profiency as a
fighter through a culmination of hard work and experience.
Kragar was becoming more and more like his father everyday...
much to his mother's delight. However, Hundyll saw the young
Kragar as a menace that would not just go away, he would have to
deal with the boy...and soon.
During a exploration mission to search out deposit ores,
Kragar and his party were ambushed by a drow raiding party...all
but a few were killed. When news reached his mother of Kragar's
death, it was devestating, and she never really recovered. Within
eight months, his mother died, and Hundyll gained control of her
assets and property claims, Since he had used influence to have
the young Kragar declared dead, Hundyll inherited all of his late
wife's wealth, adding it to his own sizeable claim.
Kragar was left to endure life as a slave and pit fighter for
the next three years at the hands of the drow who killed his
father. Until one day, he met a young halfling thief that was part
of an adventuring party that was investigating the drow raids on
the surface and nearby villages.
They spent the next three months in preparation for their
escape, finally the two brave heroes were able to free themselves
and avoid capture by their captors. But not before Kragar found
the slaver woman who stole his family heirlooms and cut out her
heart...just his way of saying...don't mess with my possessions!
Tarl and Kragar were able to fight their way to clear and win
their freedom.
Soon, they returned to a nearby city to recover from their
ordeal but Kragar discovered that he would never be able to stay
on the surface, except to maybe go adventuring ever so often.
Kragar knew that being a warrior was in his blood. He was
an adventurer to the core with a whole world to explore and life
didn't hold much promise for him as a ordinary citizen with so
much evil left in the world.

Kragar meets the party near the surface enterance of Mithral
Hall, and hearing of their quest...he joins them to slip past
Hundyll's goons. Knowing that it's his only way into Mithral
Hall without Hundyll finding out. If you agree with Swiftaxe's
existence...Hundyll will most probably have the axe with him,
not trusting anyone to care for it. Once he reaches Bruenor's
audience chamber, one of two things will happen.
Kragar will move close enough to challenge Hundyll
directly....
He knows Hundyll has conspired with the drow, betrayed
Kragar and his father to their enemies and seeks to place
himself on the throne...except for one small detail.
Kragar's coming home and he is PISSED OFF BIG TIME....
He also brings proof of Hundyll's treachery, in the form
of a letter that promises Hundyll rulership of Mithral Hall
...if he betrays his people.
This is what got the father killed and was discovered by
Kragar when he looted the home of Drow slaver who was suppose
to deliver the message but saw oppurtunity to blackmail
Hundyll...unfortunately, Kragar tracked the Slaver down
and cut her heart out...(see Kragar's history for details.)
Kragar has returned to claim his birthright and name that
was stolen from him four years ago...at the beginning of
the time when Bruenor and Drizzt were fighting against Matron
Mother Baenrae.
Hundyll used the confusion to cover his treachery against
Kragar and nobody noticed any foul play....

In trtuth, Kragar, wouldn't know anyne but Bruenor, his
liege lord.
He's will probably be recognized by Bruenor, because his
father was a trusted soldier and ally. The Swiftaxe clan has
always stood at the forefront of Mithril Hall's army as
officers, engineers, and smiths.

Kragar has come home to see his mother (not knowing that
she has been dead for almost a year) and is looking for the
mithral battle axe that's his family's prized heirloom...
since he has reached his 55th birthday.
"Swiftaxe", the battle axe, was forged by Kragar the
First, at the end of his life and represented the culmination
of his expertise as a weaponsmith. The axe has been handed
down from father to son for many generations, becoming a
symbol of the family's honor, strength and loyalty to Mithral
Hall.
