Anything Offspring (Miscellaneous)

Yay! New format!

I used to have everything on this page, but I've just split it up. I now have a new page for tour info and one for media. This page is now dedicated to the really miscellaneous crap, such as personal stories. Enjoy.

I went on a search the other day for some Offspring themes, ICQ skins, and whatnot. You know what I found?

El Zippo.

Yes that's right. I found one theme and one skin, and both SUCKED! So I propose to: make my own! BWA HA HA!

As soon as I get some done, I'll post them for you peeps to use, mm'kay?

If anybody has any created, please send them to me!!!!! I can post them in here and give you credit. I know offspring fans everywhere are in a quandary about NO GOOD THEMES!

You know that computer game called "The Sims"? Where you play a person or a family and basically tell them what to do? mwa ha ha ha ha....

You can already see where this is going, can't you?

Yep, that's right. My friend Kara and I built none other than the Offspring in our game of the Sims! I started out by creating Dexter (hehe!). He didn't look a whole lot like Dexter--he has a goatee--but it was as close as I could get him. Noodles we just couldn't get right. He's too...unique looking. Ron and Greg were a breeze. So we found a program that let's you customize your Sims.

Now, of course, we have a totally authentic looking Noodles. Next I'm gonna build another Dexter, as soon as we're done with the rest of Orgy.

When I figure out how, I'm going to include screen shots of each Offspring's Sim on his respective biography. It'll be cute. : )

HUCK IT

Yay! I received the Offspring's new video Huck It from my friend Kara. What a great present! So here's my review of the boys' latest foray into the video world:
Uh huh-huh-huh, that was cool.
Yeah yeah! Heheheh, cool.
No I'm kidding! I'm just a maniac, forgive me. I did like Huck It, maybe more so than their last video Americana. Here, I'll compare them for you. Aren't I nice, doing this so you don't have to?

Americana
Pros: Old footage from when Dex and Greg were in high school, LOTS of good music
Cons: Skits that were more weird than funny, the puking guy, some sequences were too long and drawn out
Overall: A good first video, left fans anxious for another one

Huck It
Pros: Noodles talks to the camera (funny shit), we get to see each guy do something, new music, shorter sequences that don't make me wonder what's on MTV right about now...
Cons: Not enuf Dexter! ARGH! hehe, just my personal opinion. Seriously, there should've been more with each guy, maybe talking to the camera like Noodles. Unless they were shy. It just should've been longer.
Overall: Definitely an improvement, just needed more to it. We can only hope there will be another...

Suggestions for new video: More with each guy, and show some of the old music videos for god's sake! I want to see Gone Away on TV, not just on my lousy crap ass computer!

December 9, 2000--United Center, Chicago:
TWISTED 7
I got to see the Offspring!
The line-up included: Disturbed (surprisingly good), Orgy (cool), Everlast (cool), the Deftones (gag), Live (very good), Incubus (so-so), Cypress Hill (gag), Papa Roach (ok, but tried too hard), and of course THE OFFSPRING ROCKED THE HOUSE!
The whole place was singing along during the Offspring's entire set. And the coolest bit was--Intermission! I saw this guy hand Dexter a big pink inflatable chair. Dexter told us that they were going to take a little break, and Intermission suddenly started playing! The whole crowd got into it, waving their arms with the rhythm of the music. A fat guy even took center stage (frightening).
Later Dexter said something to the effect of "This is fun, how about we just stay here and play until 3 in the morning?"
What a ROAR!
Of course, they couldn't stay that long...but oh how great that would've been....
Some of the songs they played were:

Bad Habit
Original Prankster
Smash
Come Out and Play
Americana
Gone Away
The Kids Aren't Alright
Want You Bad
Self-Esteem
Gotta Get Away

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Dexter actually messed up a little during Gotta Get Away! He sang the second verse during the first AND second verses! (i.e.--he never sang the first verse.) But don't worry Dexter, I still think you rock! And nobody really cared--I only noticed because I've listened to that cd about 5 trillion times.
