A flame was born again that day
And the phoenix thrived once more
And the tears came down so easily
For the one whom I adore
Those tears stung my face like acid
And an anger built up inside
And the day of the vow exchange
Was the first time that I cried
The fire turned into a blaze,
An inferno I left to burn
It’s a heat that I rely on,
A flame I have come to yearn
For whatever reason, for whatever fate
It was just not meant to be
He married B’Elanna Torres
But the woman he loved was me
